Self-catering holiday cottages in Tissington

Tissington is an attractive village in the south of the Peak District near Bradbourne and is characterised by its lime tree-lined avenue, duck pond, and pretty cottages with broad, wayside lawns. One of the prettiest, most unspoilt villages in the county, it centres around the stately 17th century Tissington Hall, which has a tearoom and gift shop – it has been home to the same family for over 400 years and although they live at the hall, it is open to the public to explore.

Our holiday cottages in Tissington are surrounded by the rolling dales, woodlands, and meadows of the White Peak, making this is a wonderful destination for walking and outdoor adventure. Discover both the Tissington Trail and the Limestone Way which wind their way through the village and the beautiful countryside. Stay in our Tissington cottages and you can also discover the local tradition of ‘well dressing’. Each year, on Ascension Sunday the six water wells in the village are decorated with thousands of flower petals depicting biblical scenes which draws crowds of visitors to marvel at this colourful spectacle. Other treats to discover locally include the Dovedale Stepping Stones, just 3 miles away and National Trust’s Ilam Park (4.5 miles), which includes gardens, woodland and a tearoom. Why not enjoy a slower pace of life on your next holiday in the Peak District and make yourself at home in our self-catering accommodation in Tissington?
