Self-catering holiday cottages in Turnditch

Set on the banks of the River Ecclesbourne in Derbyshire, our holiday cottages in the hillside village of Turnditch offer those seeking a peaceful break in the countryside an idyllic retreat. Set out from one of our Turnditch cottages and discover local landmarks such as the 13th century All Saints church or don your hiking boots and explore the surrounding Peak District landscape, dotted with rugged hills, wild moorland, rocky outcrops and river valleys. You can also enjoy a wide variety of water sports at nearby Carsington Water.

Our self-catering accommodation in Turnditch is also popular with anglers thanks to the abundance of fish in the river, including brown trout. Take a leisurely stroll along the riverbank and you may be lucky enough to spot a kingfisher, water vole or white-clawed crayfish. Largely untouched by tourism, the village is home to a post office, small grocery store and a few lovely pubs serving a great selection of local ales and delicious food. The traditional market towns of Belper, Wirksworth, Ashbourne and Matlock are within easy reach, as are Alton Towers and the historic houses of Haddon Hall, Kedleston House and Chatsworth House.
