Fabulous walking routes are available for the energetic, though it’s just as pleasant to spend your time enjoying the tranquillity of Upottery and the east Devon countryside as a whole.
Upottery is the perhaps unlikely home of the Hartridge Buddhist Monastery, which is open for visiting should you be in a contemplative frame of mind.
