There’s a variety of country cottages to choose from throughout the beautiful county of Cornwall, offering a range of self-catering accommodation for couples seeking a secluded retreat, groups of friends exploring the extensive moorland, and for families looking for a peaceful holiday home.
As well as its stunning coastline, Cornwall is famed for its beautiful countryside, with ancient woodlands, rugged moors, amazing rock formations and lovely country parks, with plenty of idyllic villages and historic towns where you can relax and enjoy some excellent food and drink. With a range of rural holiday cottages and country properties to choose from, including traditional cottages, stylish log cabins, spacious lodges, welcoming farmhouses and delightful barn conversions, Cornwall provides a perfect location for a charming rural retreat.
Even away from the coast, Cornwall is bursting with great places to discover. Keen walkers and cyclists can follow the Camel Trail or the Bodmin Way – a 20-mile route surrounding the town and which links with the older Saints Way and Celtic Way. You can explore Bodmin Moor or visit some of the many English Heritage and National Trust sites throughout the area including Lanhydrock, Cotehele Mill, Restormel Castle, Hurlers Stone Circles, Launceston Castle, Trelissick and Godolphin. Tehidy Country Park has 250 acres of woodland and lakes, while Kit Hill Country Park is perfect for bird watching. Heading east towards Devon, you can also discover the Tamar Valley, or travelling further west you can enjoy the beautiful Roseland Heritage Coast.
