This attractive detached barn listed barn conversion is set on a working dairy farm in a tranquil location with amazing country views enclosed garden and private hot tub.

Positioned close to the owners’ farmhouse yet where privacy is assured. The property is approached via it’s own private drive, it provides a relaxing base from which you can explore the beautiful landscape of mid Devon. There are lots of many pretty villages such as Bickleigh, which has the River Exe meandering through it and the popular Mill that offers boutique shopping and artisan foods. The distinctive dark red soil being typical in this area, making it a scenic setting ideal for walking and all manner of country pursuits. Accessible as close to the nearby town of Tiverton, which has a pretty canal offering boats for hire. Slightly further afield is the city of Exeter, with its huge variety of shops and restaurants.

Relax in the comfortable lounge area with feature fireplace limestone flooring and cosy wood burner. Snuggle up on the corner suite and watch a film on the TV/DVD or open the bi folding doors and listen to the sounds of the calming water feature or chat to those in the outside hot tub. The kitchen/diner has many character features such as oak lintels and exposed beams as well as an island unit. Well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, American style fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. A couple of steps lead down to the utility room with Belfast sink and ample space for boots and coats. There is a shower room with WC on this level and one bedroom with king-size bed and TV. On the first floor is a further two bedrooms 1 king-size with an en-suite bathroom with small bath, shower over and WC and one twin room with en-suite shower and WC.

There is a large enclosed patio area and lawn with pretty water feature garden furniture and BBQ and hot tub. Ample parking and turning area for several cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Cottage was amazing! The views would be very hard to beat and the hosts, Allen and Marion were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Cottage is ideally situated for both North and South Devon. Only 6 minute drive to Tiverton so everything is on hand if you need groceries. Very large garden for our dogs to exercise or relax in and the hot tub was a Read morewelcome place after a long day out walking and sightseeing. 10/10 Hide

We had a brilliant weekend away! The cottage was very warm, cosy and homely! We were provided with everything you could need and there were lovely home baked scones, jam and cream waiting for us on arrival. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very spacious. The hot tub was a great feature too! :-)

We had an amazing week staying in this beautiful barn. Had everything you needed. Beds were comfy, house was lovely and warm. It was just wonderful. Did lots of walking and visited 2 different beaches which were only a 45 minute drive so great location. Everything was just amazing. We will be back.

A true home from home, but oh so much more. This is a little slice of heaven. Myself and my fianc have had the best weekend here, peace and quiet in amongst the beautiful countryside, with the only decision being whether to lounge in front of the fire or soak in the hot tub, and relax, taking in the beautiful views. If your not keen on farmyard noises and smells then this is not the place for you, for us it was perfect. There are lovely walks along the canal and then a nice roast at The Globe pub. There was nothing that we could have wanted for at the cottage. It is do well equipped and warm, with the log burner and under floor heating. We had scones waiting fRead moreor us on our arrival, which was a nice touch and very yummy. Beds are very comfy and the showers are powerful and always warm. Will return soon. Hide

We had a fantastic week at Barn View, beautifully decorated and furnished. Even better than the photos. This cottage is situated on the edge of Exmoor National Park, on a working farm. This property is perfect for a couple/ Family that want to get away fro it all and enjoy some peace and quiet and some amazing walks. Lovely location and the cottage was incredibly well equipped. Owners were very helpful and non intrusive. The kids loved seeing the cows in the morning, we were not blessed with great weather but still enjoyed the hot tub and cycled a couple of times to Tiverton. Excellent cottage, very well equipped, made to feel welcomed. Hot tub a great addition. Very rural location which for getting away from it all is ideal but do need the car for local pubs and shops.
