A friendly welcome awaits you at this semi-detached traditional country cottage, nestling in the delightful Devon countryside. There are far reaching views over open fields and the cottage's thick walls retain warmth for cosy winter visits and cool for summer days. The quiet immediate location is a haven for birds including birds of prey and many small garden varieties. Wildlife is abundant here and in the National Trust Ashclyst Forest which this cottage overlooks. This makes the area ideal for energetic walkers or a quiet ramble along the forest paths and around Broadclyst village. The East Devon beaches are a short drive away with their sheltered coves, sandy and pebble beaches, coastal walking or a stroll along the prom' at Sidmouth. The Jurassic Coast provides plenty of fossil hunting and the National Trust at nearby Killerton House and Bicton Gardens make a great day out. The nearby town of Exeter has facilities to suit all tastes with its ancient Cathedral, remaining Roman wall and modern shopping centre. The quay area is particularly interesting for a stroll and lunch or simply sitting beside the River Exe watching the world go by.

This is a delightful cottage surrounded by farmland and situated just outside Exeter. There is a road in front of the house but we had no problems with this. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. It is ideally situated for trips to East Devon

A delightful cottage, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely location in the middle of nowhere and yet within very easy reach of Exeter and the coast of East and South Devon. Only two disappointments - sitting out space was at the rear with only access from the front; the road noise in the morning and evening "rush hours".

Lovely cottage. Ideal for couples. Although it takes dogs we took ours and we wouldn't recommend it

Great well equipped very clean and comfortable cottage in a good location, slightly inland but central for many seaside resorts. Nice rural location but no footpaths nearby so none of it easily accessible - road too dangerous to walk on as traffic travelling at 60mph plus. The road was really close to the front of the cottage & whilst not overly busy it wasn't very pleasant having vehicles rush by so close. Also, noise from the owners tv next door could be heard almost constRead moreantly - it is a shame that the soundproofing was so poor/non-existant between the two properties. Off road parking to the rear was good. Hide

Great cottage - loads of space for two, really nice kitchen/diner and very well kitted out - everything we needed so ended up eating in more than we had planned. The location was good for us as we were exploring various places around the Exe estuary but definitely need a car if you are staying here.

The cottage was very comfortable and plenty big enough for 2. We took our dog who was made to feel most welcome. The property is in a rural location but there is a pub within a few minutes walk. The only drawback was access to outside space for the dog.
