Situated on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park and offers outstanding, far-reaching views of Dartmoor's highest tor and open moorland. Okehampton is a hotspot for walking in the Dartmoor National Park as it is the central point for almost all of the many marked trails and walkways, the Dartmoor Way, the Tarka Trail, the Two Moors Way, and the new cycle path The Granite way is only a 20 minute walk from the properties (bike hire can be arranged just 0.5 miles away). You will be perfectly positioned for touring both Devon and Cornwall with easy access to the A30 being just a stone's throw away. You will have a choice of sandy beaches to the North and South as well as attractions to suit all tastes including Meldon Reservoir for walks and fishing, Roadford Reservoir with fishing and water sports, National Trust properties, The Eden Project (60 minute drive) and many more. Okehampton is just a mile's drive with its quirky arts and craft and general shops. Tavistock, an ancient stannary town, is easily accessible as is Plymouth and Exeter, offering many attractions such as theatres, restaurants and shopping centres. Golf and horse riding can be found locally, with a pub serving food within a mile.

Farm activities: a warm welcome is extended to visitors who would like to meet the owners golden retriever, feed the chickens and ducks and collect the eggs in the pet's corner. Games room: guests are welcome to enjoy the shared games room with pool table, table football and darts. Utility room: shared, with washing machine, tumble dryer. Outside: garden furniture and BBQ plus shared large garden that offers childrens' space to play football, badminton, short tennis, boules or try our letterbox trail, therefore giving parents the chance to relax! Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, night storage heating, electric panel heaters and electric included. Part storage heating and part panel heaters. Additional info: both properties have a welcome basket on arrival. Short breaks welcome. Location:  pub 1 mile, shops 2 miles, convenience store at local garage 1 mile.

The main wing of the farmhouse and offers TWO bedrooms: approached via cottage-style stairs, 1 double with excellent views and 1 3' bunk bedroom. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge: cosy room with woodburner effect electric fire, TV and DVD. Kitchen/diner: with hob, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. Outside: dog exercise area provided. Amenities: 2 dogs welcome

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Beautiful cottage, handy central location for days out in Devon and Cornwall. Very friendly, warm hosts. Absolutely lovely holiday, would recommend and hope to return.

Right on the northern edge of Dartrnoor - excellent for adventurous or gentle walks. Lovely warm people and a gorgeous and friendly golden retriever. Very cosy cottage but no real fire which was a minor disappointment.

Comfortable property , with easy access to Dartmoor and close to A30. Great base to explore from. Carolyn , Pete and family are friendly and easy going making the stay from the outset enjoyable.

I really have no complaints at all, the cottage was very well equipped and on arrival there was milk, bread, eggs from the on site chickens and bacon. The owners are great, very helpful and great with the kids. I would have liked it to be a little closer to the town centre but saying that it wouldn't have been as child friendly or as quiet.
