This lovely cottage which sits on beautiful open farmland is an idyllic hideaway from busy lives and provides an excellent base for exploring Devon.

This lovely cottage, which has been furnished with comfort in mind, is one of two which are situated in a peaceful Devon village. From the cottage are spectacular countryside views and easy access to the beautiful coastline and rugged Exmoor, where there are endless walks for you to enjoy. If you’re a beach lover, you will delight in the choices that are available to you from The Granary, with the wide sandy beaches of Westward Ho! being within a short distance. There are a range of National Trust properties and gardens nearby, as well as RHS Rosemoor gardens, The Milky Way, The Big Sheep and Dartington Crystal. If you have an adventurous side, there are many companies in the area which provide pursuit services.

This first-floor single-storey cottage, which is accessed via an external staircase offers two bedrooms - one double, which looks out over the neighbours farm where cattle are sometimes house and one bunk bedroom. There is a shower room with a WC and the lounge/kitchen/diner has a TV/DVD with Freeview. The fully fitted kitchen provides everything you could need to cook up a dinner at home, if you would rather not go out, and has an electric cooker, microwave and fridge. The accommodation also offers a large game room which has badminton, table tennis, swing ball, footballs and trike in a large recreation barn.

Outside there is a small private lawn with garden furniture and guests are welcome to explore the farmland and the 1.5 acres of landscaped garden, which has swings, a pet paddock with chickens and guinea pigs and leads onto a field where there is access to a private lake. There is ample parking available.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Comfortable cottage with everything that you need, wonderful friendly welcome, great location approximately ten minutes to Torrington one direction and similar distance to Barnstaple in the opposite (nice to have the convenience of a main road too!). Really enjoyed my stay and looking forward to returning.

The cottage was in a great location for everything we wanted to do. The outside space was also brilliant with 2 kids for them to burn off some steam. The kids loved the chickens & guinea pigs & Lisa was brilliant at showing them what to do with them. Both Lisa & her husband were friendly & nothing was too much trouble.
