We loved the location and enjoyed walking in the surrounding countryside with our dogs. We had a lovely welcome by the owners, as we arrived later than expected. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. It was a good size for us; two adults, our nine year old son and two dogs. We found a little gem in the farm barns where a variety of games sRead moreuch as swingball, football and badminton were played! All in all a super mini-break. Hide

The cottage was lovely. Lisa, the owner was very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The children loved visiting the chickens and guinea pigs and having daily badminton tournaments in the barn.

Had a fantastic week at The Stables. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and the huge garden and games barn got some use. Luckily the weather was mainly good, so we got to visit many beaches such as Burrows, Instow and Saunton Sands. Also took a trip to Dartmoor and Lydford gorge. We took our 13mo daughter and the property was perfectly suited for her to crawl about completely safely. The courtyard is all concrete but a picnic blanket on the floor also meant she was completely safe there too. Opposite the property is the owners land including a lovely garden with swings, chickens and guinea pigs and a walk through the woods Read moreand around the lake. About 20/30 minutes to various family attractions. The property was very clean and well equipped. Hide

Superb location and set up well for the dog. Very safe walking environment across the road and well maintained. Fishing lake was beautiful but there seemed to be a lack of trout. Easy access to local villages, superstores and local attractions. Very nice dog friendly pub within 5 minute drive.
