Located just five minutes walk from the estuary and South West Coast Path or within a short drive is a wealth of popular safe sandy beaches and attractions to suit all ages. Take a riverside walk to the market town of Bideford, where there this is much to see and do with a choice of shops and pubs, as well as a pannier and open-air markets. North Devon’s coastline is never far away and Westward Ho! beach is only a 5 minute drive, offering 2 miles of golden sands popular with bathers and surfers. Horseriding, tennis and golf are also available and the National Trust coast path offers breathtaking cliff-top views. Cyclists and ramblers will love the famous disused railway line called The Tarka Trail, offering stunning views and wildlife spotting. Away from the coast is the rugged beauty of Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks. Keen golfers can enjoy the nearby championship golf courses at Westward Ho! and Saunton and attractions include: The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, Superbowl and leisure centre for the children and Tapeley Park, Dartington Crystal, Arlington Court and RHS Rosemoor for the adults. Why not take a day boat trip to Lundy island or explore the pretty harbour at Clovelly, the sand dunes at Instow or the pretty quayside at Appledore. After all this activity, there are plenty of family village pubs and restaurants in the area to relax in, all serving good food, local beers and ciders .

The accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: all of which have wall mounted TVs with DVD, situated on the ground floor is 1 king-size with adjoining bathroom with bath, shower over and WC, 1 king-size with dressing room, and adjoining shower and WC and 1 family room with king-size bed and single with walk in wardrobe with en-suite shower cubicle and WC and direct access to garden. On the first floor is 1 family room with king-size, two singles, walk in wardrobe with en-suite shower cubicle and WC. Lounge: with gas fire, TV/DVD and full SKY and Wii games console ideal for children which looks onto the enclosed garden. Kitchen/diner: well-equiped with double range oven, separate oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Dining area off the kitchen which leads onto the garden with seating for 12. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble drier. Outside: enclosed south facing garden with lawn, patio and covered BBQ area which is ideal for breakfast and evening drinks. We had a great week staying at Amberley House the last week in August 2016 lovely weather for a few bbqs . We all were very comfortable and to be able to sit around the table all together, the supermarkets were 5min away morrisons.Asda and the shopping village was only 10mins away we all thought it was in a lovely location . The joy of our holiday in the first instant is to come in and see where we are going to stay and everyone gets excited. The garden was large and plenty of room for the five children in our party. Loads of parking for the four cars we had. Great to have all those bathrooms but for showers the one in the garage conversion was poor. Everything was lovRead moreely and clean and I would think that everything we went to cook and eat with was there. Not far in the car to the beach just a short drive. Hide

Lots of room, and the garden beautiful, ideal for dogs. It's not actually in Westward Ho! However it's a great location.
