This former fisherman's cottage has been renovated to provide stylish, comfortable accommodation.

Nestling in one of Appledore's quaint streets you can enjoy the lovely views over the water towards the seaside village of Instow. Watch the boats sail by from the raised decking area in the enclosed patio garden. Enjoy days exploring the hidden cobbled streets around the village, or visit one of the areas popular attractions including The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Clovelly, Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor and Tapeley Park to name just a few. Take a short drive over to the sand dunes of Instow, or enjoy the 2 miles of golden sand at the beach of Westward Ho! which is only a short 5 minute drive away. In the evenings stroll along the quayside or eat out at one of the many family pubs and restaurants serving good food.

The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: accessed via steep cottage stairs on split level and restricted head height in areas. 1 double and 1 bunk room with river views on the first floor and 1 large double on the second floor via a narrow flight of stairs. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge: large, with TV, DVD, woodburner effect electric fire and iPod docking station. Dining room: area off the lounge with dining table and chairs and small selection of games. Kitchen: with cooker, fridge and microwave. Utility: external, with low ceiling, washing machine and freezer. Outside: enclosed decked garden via steps, with seating and lovely river views. Amenities: roadside parking nearby. Bed linen, electric, towels and Wi-Fi connection included. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome. Location: estuary beach 1 mile. Pub and shop walking distance.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Great location magnificent views, cosy cottage.

It is a lovely cosy cottage with stunning views over the estuary and beautiful sunrises to wake up to across the bay. As a party of five plus a dog we thought the cottage might be too small but there was plenty of room for all of us plus of huge dining room table to sit around to eat meals. Lovely cosy cottage with excellent stepped garden area with fantastic views. Unfortunately the room with bunk beds has the best view! However, both double rooms are very good rooms. Living room is cosy and nicely furnished. Kitchen is small. Needs some extraction as smoke alarm goes off easily. However, we had a lovely stay and loved the property. Fantastic cottage. Really nicely done inside and very comfortable. More than adequately equipped. Best cottage we've had at this price in 6 years of summer holidays.
