Scandinavian style property situated in an idyllic, private location, in a quiet valley accessed via a small bridge and overlooked by the glorious Devon hills on the edge of Barnstaple.

A truly relaxing place that also offers a farm shop, fishing lakes and a small tea room serving light lunches and beautiful cream teas. If you can bear to tear yourself away there is much to see and do nearby the coastal villages and towns of Braunton, Croyde, Woolacombe, Lynmouth, Lynton, Ilfracombe are all within a 30 minute drive. The National Trust property Arlington Court is just 4 miles and Knighthayes Court is a 45 minute drive. Just 10 miles from the local beach and 1.5 miles from the pub.

On entering the light and airy studio-style accommodation you will find yourself in the charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area which also has a wood burner, TV and DVD and French doors which lead out onto the decked balcony. The sleeping area with super-king-size zip-and-link can be made up as a twin on request. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you will need during your stay including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Exploring the studio further you will find a shower room with a walk in shower and WC.

Step outside to enjoy dining alfresco on the decked balcony area. Enjoy overlooking the ponds on the comfortable garden furniture and rear courtyard with access to private parking area providing ample space to park.

We had the most wonderful week. Kingfisher was everything we were expecting and more. Kingfisher was beautifully presented inside and out, fully equipped with everything needed for the perfect holiday. The setting is so peaceful and quiet perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely welcoming hosts and nice together property with stylish decor. Decor, furniture, fittings and equipment all only 3 years old and as new. Lovely countryside, lots of walks with Barnstaple nearby for shops etc. Could not wish for more. Best cottage we have stayed in!

The lodge was exactly as shown in the photographs, beautifully designed, warm and comfortable. Overlooking beautiful scenery, with tremendous fishing, we have already booked to return in the spring.

We could not recommend this holiday accommodation enough, its in the most beautiful, tranquil setting, it was spotlessly clean, it had a lovely comfortable bed and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, the owners were the loveliest people you could ever meet.
