Scandinavian style property situated in an idyllic, private location, in a quiet valley accessed via a small bridge and overlooked by the glorious Devon hills on the edge of Barnstaple.

A truly relaxing place that also offers a farm shop, fishing lakes and a small tea room serving light lunches and beautiful cream teas. If you can bear to tear yourself away there is much to see and do nearby the coastal villages and towns of Braunton, Croyde, Woolacombe, Lynmouth, Lynton, Ilfracombe are all within a 30 minute drive. The National Trust property Arlington Court is just 4 miles and Knighthayes Court is a 45 minute drive. Just 10 miles from the local beach and 1.5 miles from the pub.

On entering the light and airy studio-style accommodation you will find yourself in the charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area which also has a wood burner, TV and DVD and French doors which lead out onto the decked balcony. The sleeping area with super-king-size zip-and-link can be made up as a twin on request. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you will need during your stay including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Exploring the studio further you will find a shower room with a walk in shower and WC.

Step outside to enjoy dining alfresco on the decked balcony area. Enjoy overlooking the ponds on the comfortable garden furniture and rear courtyard with access to private parking area providing ample space to park.

The cottage was well equipped comfortable warm and clean.The decking good for sitting out on warm days and watching the fish.The tea shop on site was excellent for light lunches(smoked trout pate) and cream teas.Very friendly family run trout farm.

Lovely cottage , well equipped and very clean, relaxing countryside location but only a few minutes from Barnstable, parking outside of cottage, access to property over a small footbridge , lovely place to stay

We had the most wonderful week. Kingfisher was everything we were expecting and more. Kingfisher was beautifully presented inside and out, fully equipped with everything needed for the perfect holiday. The setting is so peaceful and quiet perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely welcoming hosts and nice together property with stylish decor. Decor, furniture, fittings and equipment all only 3 years old and as new. Lovely countryside, lots of walks with Barnstaple nearby for shops etc. Could not wish for more. Best cottage we have stayed in!

Idyllic setting, beautiful scandi style lodge with log burner, walk in shower, well equipped kitchen and welcome gifts. Simply perfect and the hosts are charming!
