Thorne Farm is home to ducks, hens, a horse and a donkey as well as a wealth of wildlife, such as deer, foxes, hares, barn owls and bats. You can enjoy countryside walks or cycle rides from your doorstep, including along the Tarka Trail which is half a mile away. This long distance path winds through the Torridge valley between Braunton and Meeth. Nearby you can visit RHS Rosemoor Gardens and the historic Cavalier market town of Great Torrington, home to Dartington Crystal. The coastline is only 30 minutes away- choose between the wide sandy beaches of Westward Ho! and Saunton Sands, the spectacular cliffs above Bideford Bay and Hartland Quay, the many tiny coves or the cobbled, harbourside village of Clovelly.

A well equipped cottage with all the peace and quiet you could want. It is close to the town of Great Torrington and well positioned to put the North Devon beaches and North Cornwall within easy reach.

When we found it, not anything like the pictures on web site cottage interior very dated and small. More signs needed to find cottage maybe on gate'

The cottage was lovely and the owners where very pleasant making the stay even more enjoyable. There is also a hidden gem to this holiday cottage as they have a wonderful dog called Jess which is friendly and loves a walk. Would defiantly come back again and I recommend walking Jess round the farm as she is incredibly smart and makes a great walkinRead moreg companion. Hide
