This delightful detached bungalow set in large enclosed gardens is situated in a peaceful, privately-owned, no-through road.

It is a 3 mile drive to the sandy beach at Westward Ho! and is within easy reach of many noted beauty spots including Appledore which offers all the old world charm of a fishing village, famous for its arts, crafts and maritime heritage or Instow with its sandy beach and wealth of pubs and restaurants. It is also situated close to various attractions including The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor Gardens and more. In the evening you can relax in the garden or take a leisurely stroll into Bideford offering an array of good pubs and restaurants.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 king size and 1 twin. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge: with electric fire and TV. Dining room: with gas fire, TV, DVD and radio/cd player. Kitchen: with cooker and microwave. Utility room: with fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: lawn to front of property and a raised lawn area to the rear, patio with garden furniture. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, electric and central heating included. 1 dog welcome. Additional info: please note the property is accessed via an unmade private lane. Location: shops and pubs 20 minute (hilly) walk, beach 3 miles.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The garden of the cottage is fabulous, very large, fully enclosed and not overlooked. This along with the quiet location creates a relaxing private space. The inside is scrupulously clean and a home from home. Some decor needs updating but I have the impression this is underway in a rolling process. Highly recommended

If you are looking for a clean, quiet cottage then this is the place. It is very private and well appointed. It's clean, tidy and everything works. We fell in love with the place.

fir tree cottage is in a quiet location and a nice walk in to bideford . the cottage is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean , the garden is well tended and totally secure for our springer carlie who loves the large garden to play in, there are some nice beaches nearby instow and westward ho.this is our fourth stay here and will be back next yRead moreear. Clean, well equipped, and comfortable cottage with large fully enclosed gardens. It is situated in a reasonably built up area of housing but it is quiet as it is located on a private no through road. Bideford town centre is a 20 minute walk away and Westward Ho or Appledore a 5 minute drive.

This cottage felt like a home away from home: comfortable, cosy and private. It's in a good location, in the hills of Bideford and quite close to Westward Ho beach. However, it wasn't very close to the recommended pub: the Bell Inn.
