This superb holiday home is situated near Bideford town centre and is a great place from which to explore North Devon. Guests can get out and see the county or simply relax in the back garden.

A short stroll from Bideford town centre, this lovely bungalow is well located on a private no-through road. Guests can take a short walk to explore the town’s shops, restaurants and pubs. There are several beaches in the area, including those at Westward Ho! and Instow, both only a short drive away. These two beaches also have shops, pubs and restaurants that are well worth discovering. Guests can enjoy the olde-worlde charm of Appledore, a fishing village that is famous for its arts, crafts and maritime heritage, and families will love a day out visiting nearby attractions such as the The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor Gardens.

Inside the property, the comfortable lounge haan electric fire and TV. The dining room contains a gas fire, dining table and seating for four people. Entertainment in the room is provided by a TV, DVD player and radio/CD player. The kitchen is equipped with a gas oven, hob and microwave, plus the utility room contains a fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is one king-size bedroom with a wardrobe and bedside tables as well as one twin bedroom furnished in a similar manner. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC.

Outside, there is a lawn at the front of the property and a raised lawn at the rear. There is also a patio with garden furniture at the back of the house, an ideal place to enjoy an evening meal in the sun. Ample off-road parking is provided for guests. Please note that the bungalow is accessed via an unmade private lane.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

We loved Devon and the cottage was cosy and very warm. The garden is gorgeous and we loved feeding the birds each day. Gorgeous main bedroom and a comfortable living and dining room. Loved the quiet location very much and this break was just what we needed after a hectic house move.

Great little bungalow in its own lovely setting, a little out of the way but again great if you wish to be out of the hussel and bussel. Highly recommendable for that quite restful holiday. Should remember it's situated at the top of a hill so you have to be good and keen walkers unless you do everything by car.

The garden of the cottage is fabulous, very large, fully enclosed and not overlooked. This along with the quiet location creates a relaxing private space. The inside is scrupulously clean and a home from home. Some decor needs updating but I have the impression this is underway in a rolling process. Highly recommended

fir tree cottage is in a quiet location and a nice walk in to bideford . the cottage is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean , the garden is well tended and totally secure for our springer carlie who loves the large garden to play in, there are some nice beaches nearby instow and westward ho.this is our fourth stay here and will be back next yRead moreear.
