About the property


Situated on a farm down a private lane in a quiet, rural area with unbroken views over the countryside to distant Dartmoor. There are cattle and horses that still keep the atmosphere of the farm alive but peace and quiet are assured.

The village of Shebbear is 1 mile with a mobile Post Office, shop, church and The Devil Stone Inn all within walking distance. There are also numerous pubs nearby serving locally produced food. The surrounding area offers local market towns such as Holsworthy and Hatherleigh, the town of Torrington which is steeped in history with the 1646 display, Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor Gardens. Beaches at Bude and Westward Ho! are both within a 25 minute drive and there are many attractions to the north and west.

Outside: adjoining paddock and 12 acres of woodlands with access to neighbouring woodland to exercise dogs. Shared utility room: laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron/ironing board, also library of DVDs, books, games and various sizes of wellington boots for the use of residents. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and night storage heating included. Regret no smoking. Pets welcome, very friendly dog accommodation. Wi-fi available. Location: beach 25 minute drive, shops and pubs 1 mile.

This semi-detached converted barn is furnished to a high standard with original beams, wood and slate flooring, offering TWO bedrooms: 1 spacious king-size and 1 single both on the first floor with TV, Freeview and DVD. Bathroom: with solid oak floor, separate shower, bath, WC and interesting double basin. Lounge/kitchen/diner: on the ground floor with flatscreen TV with DVD and woodburner. Kitchen area: with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Outside: access leads from the first floor landing, enclosed patio areas at the front and rear with garden furniture and BBQ. Additional info: cot, travel cot, highchair, fire guard, stairgate, bed side and a selection of ride on farm toys available for the younger guest. Hairdryer available.

Dogs are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
