This tastefully converted barn offers cosy accommodation bursting with original charm.

Situated on the owner’s former dairy farm, which guests are free to explore, this property is surrounded by spectacular countryside. Just a short distance away, Devon’s north coast boasts a string of sandy beaches, quintessential fishing villages and beautiful cliff-top walks. Together with swimming, surfing and strolling along the coastline, there is much to see and do in the area, such as visiting RHS Garden Rosemoor, exploring the towns of Bude and Bideford and cycling along the Tarka Trail.

Inside, great care has been taken to retain many of this building’s original features, from an exposed stone fireplace to the high vaulted ceiling in the spacious kitchen, which also boasts a slate tiled floor with under floor heating and access to the rear patio. The kitchen contains a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave. Once prepared, enjoy your meals in the lounge/diner before settling down for an evening beside the wood burner and TV/DVD. The bedroom is accessed via an open-tread spiral staircase and features an impressive king-size four-poster bed and other carefully chosen antique furniture. This room benefits from a TV and en-suite bathroom with spa bath and WC. Outside, take your pick of the patios located at the front and rear of the property, where you will find garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for sunny afternoons. Guests also have access to a shared lawn area. Once the sun has gone down, indulge in a dip in the private hot tub, which is housed in a building attached to the main property.

Dream cottage is what it says ... a dream . A peaceful, relaxing haven away from the hustle and bustle of life. Derek/Ange are lovely hosts, helpful but not intrusive. We loved our stay and will be returning for another chilled out holiday .

This was a lovely getaway in a beautiful area! The cottage had everything you would need and Angie and Derek were great hosts. Cream tea and wine was a nice touch too. Hot tub in the evening was a treat! Thank you for a great weekend!

Perfect for a short break or we could happily live there! Peaceful home from home but with luxury added & stress removed, hot tub in adjoining room with shower very private and lovely to start or end the day, lots of little extras from lovely hosts, we would defiantly stay again if in the area.

A lovely cottage in a quiet remote area but not too far from Bideford and Bude The cottage is cosy with everything you need for a quiet getaway. Would definitely recommend these cottages for and duration of stay as they have everything you need.

A lovely area and the cottage itself is fairly well equipped. The wine and cream tea was a nice touch too. We just feel that the shower situation needs to be made much clearer and some cleaning needs doing in the shower/hot tub area.

We just got home from the most relaxing few days at the cottage. The cottage was beautiful, well equipped & clean. The log fire made the autumn evenings wonderfully warm, the hot tub was an amazing treat at the end of the day & the little touches of milk in the fridge, a fresh cream tea on arrival & complimentary wine made the experience even betteRead morer. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable and is decorated and furnished to a high standard. It felt like a home away from home. There are films available through the tv too. The hot tub is lovely and very private. The owners are great, so welcoming and very helpful. The location is very quiet and peaceful.
