This tastefully converted barn is situated in North Devon with easy access to sandy beaches at Westward Ho! six miles to the north, and the Cornish seaside town of Bude, a thirty-minute drive to the south. There are also a number of interesting towns and villages in the area, including the attractive town of Bideford, with its range of independent shops, and the pretty harbour village of Appledore, from where visitors may enjoy a boat trip across the estuary to the village of Instow. For young thrill seekers, a trip to The Milky Way Adventure Park is not to be missed, with its family-friendly rollercoasters and other attractions.

This property is one of three on this former dairy farm. The main living area, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, is located on the ground floor of the property and offers a spacious place in which to relax and enjoy spending time together. The whole room benefits from underfloor heating, whilst the comfortable lounge area offers a TV, DVD and hi-fi. The dining table is situated just in front of a set of French windows which open out onto the shared garden, really opening up this space in the summer months. The well-equipped kitchen has everything that guests will need, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Open-tread stairs lead to the first floor, where the property’s three bedrooms are located. The master bedroom is a double room, with countryside views, its own TV and an en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC. There is also a twin bedroom (with a zip-and-link bed which can be made up as a king-size on request) and a third single bedroom. The bathroom is also located upstairs and offers another shower-over-bath and WC. To the rear of the property is a patioed seating area with BBQ, which gives way to the large lawn, shared with the other properties, which is perfect for playing games. There is also a shared hot tub available for guests to use. Ample off-road parking is available. Guests may bring up to two dogs on request and at an additional charge.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

You obviously would need a car for this cottage, but apart from that it was really very good wonderful welcome and the owners couldn't have been more friendly, even welcoming our three very young grand daughter for an overnight stay. Thank you.
