Both historical properties have both been lovingly converted; combining the original historical character of a stone-built double storey Wesleyan Chapel dated 1889 with contemporary design to give genuine charm and comfort for a truly magical stay.

Set on the edge of the peaceful village of Lee Bay it offers breathtaking scenery and cliff-top coastal walks with unrivalled scenery from your front door. You will be a 10 minutes drive from the popular long sandy beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde. The location is also perfect for exploring the Tarka Cycling Trail, a little further on is the National Trust area of Heddons Mouth and on to the wild expanses of Exmoor. It is great for dog walking, romantic evening strolls and rambling. When the tide is out Lee Bay reveals a sandy beach ideal for the children, offering swimming, canoeing, rock pooling, mermaids and even pirates have been rumoured to have been seen! In the evening take a stroll to the Grampus Inn, which serves local food, real ales and fantastic cream teas. In fact you will find all the ingredients for the perfect break in North Devon right on your door step.

Both properties are fully self-contained and have their own private entrance and charming gardens to relax in and enjoy. If you are hoping to go away with family or friends they can be booked together to sleep a total of 7. This double booking gives the luxury of space and privacy. They are both approached by a number of stone steps and care should be taken. Outside: each property is securely fenced and gated with a gravelled area to the front and side. I am sure some people would enjoy the the quirky and quaint atmosphere of the converted church but I'm afraid it wasn't for me. It didn't feel very clean - there were a lot of cobwebs, and some of the cutlery and pans weren't washed very well. It smelt a bit musty too. The location was lovely being in the gorgeous little village of Lee. On the posiRead moretive side, it is very spacious with plenty of good DVD's and games to play. Hide

Well dressed rooms, good size kitchen/diner and sitting room. Shortage of toilet rolls/kitchen towel and no cling film seem to be a bit on the tight side.

We had a great holiday here at New Year - cold and sunny outside but the fire really helped and plenty of wintery cliff top walks. The kids loved the quirky chapel, I would like to bring the bathroom and the seaside home with me.

A lovely and interesting conversion of a church and school house, set in a beautiful location at the edge of Lee. Beautiful views of the valley. It is a lovely spot and very comfortable with all that you need to enjoy this very peaceful location. It is quite a walk down to the village and the sea, but worth it for the lovely village pub and the beaRead moreutiful cove. We were all very comfortable (especially Lily the dog, who was fascinated by the garden). Hide
