The historic charter town of Bampton is just three miles away, and offers a range of pubs, bistros, and shops, as well as the interesting Norman motte, which visitors can climb to enjoy views over the town and the surrounding area. The property is served by solar panels, as well as the private log boiler which provides lovely hot water with minimal environmental impact. The living area is heated by a wood burner which sits in the corner of the room, where comfortable sofas provide a relaxing place to cosy up and enjoy the TV/DVD, and radio. We enjoyed our stay at Lime Kiln cottage, however didn't realise from the photo that it was two cottages joined together. We were lucky though as no one was in the adjoining cottage for most of our stay. Comfy bed and pillows, lovely rain shower and great location. Zahra our GSD enjoyed having the freedom to roam around in the fields meeting the shRead moreeep , and walking in the private woods. Her highlight of the evenings was playing with rocket one of the hosts friendly dogs. Hide

A lovely location. Peaceful and quiet. Cottage was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Everything was thought about down to the hairdryer in the bedroom. Very convenient for visiting the many sights that Devon has to offer. Our border collie loved the walks on Exmoor but especially her early morning runs in the fields that surrounded the cottagRead moree. Will definitely be returning as soon as we can. A nice cottage in a scenic location. Some very interesting woods and an old quarry on site too (but shy wildlife - so tread quietly). Good walks and pubs nearby especially the Barle valley walks.

What a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The cottage was well equipped & was lovely and clean and surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom cottage. Really lovely cottage. Located in a quiet spot, it's cosy, very comfortable and spacious compared to others I've stayed in. The owners are very friendly but not intrusive. There are plenty of places to visit locally and within less than and hours drive.

The location was superb, very rural but centrally located so getting anywhere was straight forward. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and airy with vaulted ceilings. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was excellent. The owners helpfully left fresh supplies on our arrival and dropped in further treats mid-week. The dog loved the wooRead moreds behind the cottage and the garden was enclosed and secure. Definitely the best cottage we have stayed in. Hide
