The property is served by solar panels, as well as the private log boiler which provides lovely hot water with minimal environmental impact. The living area is heated by a wood burner which sits in the corner of the room, where comfortable sofas provide a relaxing place to cosy up and enjoy the TV/DVD, and radio. The kitchen area, which is set off to the rear of the room, is equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. We had an amazing stay at the Lime Kiln cottage. If you want some peace and quiet this is the place. The cottage is well equipped, in amazing condition and just really really homely. The views from the lounge were just lovely. We would love to come back and see more! We would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering it.

Cosy and well equipped eco cottage in secluded location well placed for exploring all of Devon. Friendly hosts provided a delicious welcome pack. Enjoyable walks in the owners woodlands and fields with curious sheep in tow. Ideally suited for couples with dogs.

Very enjoyable and peaceful stay in late August. Not the easiest place to get to, but this is part of the appeal, being well away from the main roads and down a narrow steep track from a nearby lane. We enjoyed our stay at Lime Kiln cottage, however didn't realise from the photo that it was two cottages joined together. We were lucky though as no one was in the adjoining cottage for most of our stay. Comfy bed and pillows, lovely rain shower and great location. Zahra our GSD enjoyed having the freedom to roam around in the fields meeting the shRead moreeep , and walking in the private woods. Her highlight of the evenings was playing with rocket one of the hosts friendly dogs. Hide

A nice cottage in a scenic location. Some very interesting woods and an old quarry on site too (but shy wildlife - so tread quietly). Good walks and pubs nearby especially the Barle valley walks.
