This delightful house, built in 2006, offers spacious accommodation in a village setting and offers a peaceful retreat. Ideally placed to explore the whole of North Devon.

You can walk or cycle along the nearby Tarka Trail or visit one of the sandy beaches along the North Devon coast. The nearby town of Torrington, known as the 'Cavalier Town' from the civil war of 1646 is well worth a visit. There you can watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal, pick up a few souvenirs in the show room, have a browse through the Edinburgh Woollen Mill outlet and perhaps finish off with a delicious cream tea in the adjoining restaurant. A short drive from Torrington are the beautiful gardens of RHS Rosemoor. The seaside town of Westward Ho! offers keen surfers, body boarders or bathers 2 miles of golden sands to enjoy. Wander into the traditional seaside town where you can enjoy fish and chips, an ice cream and a flutter in the amusement arcades. Alternatively, a couple of miles further on, wander along the bustling quayside and narrow streets of Appledore a small fishing village with a varied selection of pubs and restaurants almost all of which serve excellent food with fish being a speciality. Family theme parks are also very popular, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way both offer indoor and outdoor activities should the weather be wet. Other places which are worth a visit are Clovelly a unique cliffside fishing village with cobbled streets and a pretty harbour, the market town of Bideford with its weekly pannier market, Burton Art Gallery, Victoria Park and quayside where you can sit and watch the world go by. If all of this sounds too energetic, why not sit and relax in the hot tub or the garden where you can enjoy a BBQ or take a stroll to the village pub and have a quiet drink or a bite to eat. Very nice cottage and apart from a few minor problems it was a nice week. The garden was small but big enough. The weather wasn't good so we didn't use it much but it had a lovely BBQ and dining furniture. It is in a small village but there is still a lot of traffic and are daughter slept in the front bedroom and was woken up a lot during the nightRead more. Hide

We had a wonderful stay and found the cottage to have everything we needed. The welcome cakes were a lovely touch...the hot tub and games room were great though grandsons were a little disappointed that the goal post pictured in the garden was not there when we stayed.....games room made up for this though.
