Attractive converted stables located next to the owners’ farmhouse, and yet offering a high-standard of privacy, just a few miles from the edge of Exmoor National Park.

This property benefits from a quiet rural location, just three miles from the town of South Molton, where a range of shops sits alongside more unusual attractions, including a chocolate factory and the Quince Honey Farm, where visitors can get a close look at the lives of honey bees, as well as sample their delicious produce. Seven miles north of the property is Exmoor National Parks with its miles of scenic walks and cycle ways which lead right up to the Atlantic Coast and into neighbouring Somerset. For many, a trip to the West Country would be incomplete without a trip to the seaside, and there are several lovely sandy beaches around a thirty-five-minute drive away, including those at Westward Ho! and Saunton Sands.

This former-stable has been lovingly converted to provide comfortable accommodation in the Devonshire countryside. The lounge, with its coal-effect electric fire, comfortable sofas, and TV/DVD offers a nice relaxing space in which to unwind after a long drive, or a busy day of sightseeing. A separate dining room has a table with six places, whilst the spacious, contemporarily-styled kitchen offers breakfast-bar seating and is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and dishwasher. A near-by utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. A convenient ground-floor shower room has a shower and WC. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. Two of these are double rooms, one of which benefits from an en-suite shower and WC. The third bedroom is a spacious twin room, with its own TV/DVD. The first-floor bathroom has a bath and WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed decked patio area, with garden furniture, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the property’s peaceful surroundings. There is ample off-road parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful cottage and it had all the amenities you could wish for and very helpful owners. We would definitely rebook there again.

We had perfect weather and were able to eat outside for all our meals on a spacious decking area. Layout inside was excellent, very comfortable bedside well equipped kitchen. Welcome tray provided. Cottage was central for exploring north Devon. Transport essential, no where to walk nearby, but access to a field was available.

Our party consisted of two couples and a single lady. The cottage was just right for our short break. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Felt smart and stylish. Shops not too far away and several good pubs within a few miles. We had a small dog with us so the enclosed meadow was a great facility. Excellent garden furniture just right for a Read moresun-downer and a nibble. The weather was sunny so added to our enjoyment. Drove to walk on Exmoor and visit Lynmouth. Hide
