SUPERB BARN CONVERSION CLOSE TO SHOPS PUBS AND RESTAURANTS

Set in the delightful fishing village of Appledore a short stroll to the quayside where you can watch the fishing boats come in and the yachts sailing across the estuary. With a myriad of narrow streets, quaint cottages, pubs, restaurants, craft shops and art galleries. There is a slipway and small pebble beach in the village, but a short drive away is the large expanse of golden sands at Westward Ho! and other leisure facilities such as horseriding, tennis, golf and cliff-top walks. Also a short drive is the sand dunes and beach at Instow and the Tarka Trail is close by where you can cycle or walk along this disused railway line and enjoy the various watering holes along the way.

The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: double with king-size bed, exposed beams and TV. Bathroom: with bath, separate shower and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: with exposed beams, feature stone fireplace with woodburner, TV/DVD, hi-fi, seating and dining area. Well-equipped kitchen with washing machine, microwave, fridge with small freezer section, electric oven and hob. Outside: french doors lead to a raised decked area with garden furniture and views over the rooftops and beyond to the river. Double gates give easy access for bikes, pushchairs etc. Amenities: 1 allocated parking space. The nearest public car park is approximately a 5 minute walk or roadside parking is nearby (subject to availability). Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Strictly no smoking. Regret no pets. Location: beach 2 miles, quayside, pubs, shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Arrival: 3pm.

Lovely peaceful cottage, spacious accommodation for two and no traffic noise. Verandah gets full sun in the mornings so a lovely place to eat breakfast. Visitors should be aware that although there is secure parking you will not be able to unload your car at the door and access is up a set of uneven steps.

we found the cottage very spacious and comfortable,it was nice to have our own parking space. everything was nice and clean and well looked after. it is in a quiet area, within easy walking distance to the shops,,,estuary,,,, and pubs and restaurants etc.

Although this cottage was only one bedroom it was very spacious for 2 people. The bedroom was big with a good amount of storage. Everything was great - would recommend it. Very good walking distance to Appledore and a great selection of eateries!

Cottage was superb and so was location. Let down by some poor quality kitchen equipment. Saying that we had a brilliant holiday.

The cottage was fantastic, it was very clean and well equipped and was a very good place for exploring north Devon.

The Stables cottage is very nice, its well equipped and very comfortable. It is an ideal base for visiting North Devon. I found Appledore to be a pleasant town and it has very friendly people. The Beaver Pub is very good and a short walk, it along with the other pubs offer excellent food and a variety of beers. Everything in the cottage was of a hiRead moregh standard and should I visit Appledore again I would be more than happy to stop at the Stables. Hide
