PERFECT RETREAT FOR TWO BY TAMAR LAKES ON THE DEVON/CORNWALL BORDER

This converted single storey property is set on the owners’ small holding with chickens, sheep and pigs. A warm welcome awaits but privacy is assured. The accommodation has a light and airy atmosphere with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, providing a real sense of space.

While away the hours with the Lower Tamar Lake, which is a nature reserve, right on your doorstep and perfect for countryside walks. The Upper Lake is a short stroll and offers coarse fishing, water sports, a lakeside walk and café. You will be close by to the market town of Holsworthy and betwixt the villages of Bradworthy and Kilkhampton. The North Cornish coastline is a 20 minute drive, which is ideal for surfers and sunbathers or alternatively the lovely cliff-top walks offer spectacular views across the Atlantic coastline. The Cornish town of Bude provides excellent shopping and leisure facilities together with a wide selection of restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

The contemporary studio-style accommodation offers: lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area, open-plan area with sofa, flatscreen TV, DVD and floor to ceiling French doors. The sleeping area offers a stylish double captain bed with storage. Well-equipped modern kitchen area with breakfast bar, electric oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Shower room: with large shower and WC. Outside: enclosed decked area with seating and BBQ. Amenities: parking for 2 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric and underfloor heating throughout included. Regret no smoking inside the property. 1 small well-behaved dog welcome. Additional info: use of owners’ freezer. Regret no infants. Location: beach 7 miles, shop and pubs 4 miles. Chinese restaurant/take-away (seasonal) ½ mile.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Although not large, the studio has absolutely everything you could want. The location is lovely - plenty of walks with our dog around Tamar Lake and also on the coast which is only 15 minutes away in a car. We can thoroughly recommend Tamar Lakes Studio.

Whilst a studio it is better equipped than a lot of larger properties we have stayed in. It is comfortable and spacious and the owners are very thoughtful & helpful but not in the least intrusive. There was even a bowl, towel, bags and a treat for the dog!

Lovely property situated in a peaceful location. Perfect place to unwind. The property had all the essentials you need to feel at home. It was seconds walk to the lake and had a lovely lakeside path perfect for a stroll.

Had a lovely stay at Tamar Lake Studio in April. Very dog friendly and lovely quiet location close to the lakes. Love the proximity to Bude and surrounding areas. House was clean and light and extremely relaxing. Lovely to wake up to sheep and chickens just outside. The studio is in a fantastic location just minutes from the lakes it really is a great location to just get away from it all .. we loved the place and our dog was in heaven with all the walking . Loved it and we will return .

Outstanding studio with high standard of equipment and decoration. Very quiet location (so no wifi or mobile), ideal for getting 'off grid' but still within easy reach of towns. Corrie and Gary, the owners, friendly and available for any help needed.

Tamar Lake Studio was a piece of heaven. The hosts were accommodating but all the same gave us space. The studio was immensely clean with a modern bathroom and kitchen. A great cosy getaway for any couple looking to get away from their busy schedules and just relax. No wi-fi and limited phone connection/signal. So a very remote and private place to go. Happy with our stay. Would go again.
