This top floor apartment is situated in the heart of the old fishing village of Appledore. The property has been refurbished to a high standard and offers the most excellent views of the estuary and beach.

Enjoy a walk along one of the village's quaint streets or the bustle of the quayside with its small shops, cafes and restaurants. Take a short drive over the river to the sandy beach of Instow. Also a couple of miles away is the sandy beach of Westward Ho! which is great for surfing and swimming. The region of North Devon has many attractions which include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Dartington Crystal and many more.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with estuary and beach views and 1 twin room with river views. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Kitchen: modern and well-equipped with gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washer/dryer. Lounge/diner: with sofas, TV, Freeview, DVD, hi-fi and contemporary electric real-effect fire. Amenities: roadside parking close by. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, electric and central heating included. Regret no pets or smoking. Location: beach 5 minutes’ drive, pubs and shop walking distance.

The flat is nice and the views from the bedroom are amazing. But beware of the beams!! It may not be the perfect flat for tall people... The kitchen could do with a bit of updating. Appledore is definitely a good base if you want to discover North Devon and it's easy and quick to get to lots of nice beaches or the South West Coastal Path.

The 4th floor apartment at the top of steep road was well worth the effort to climb- beautiful views across the estuary! The whole experience, including the village of Appledore and the surrounding area, was welcoming, clean and restful. The apartment was thoughtfully decorated. We arrived stressed and tired and left relaxed and refreshed!

Not too impressed thought it was very overpriced for the standard of property. No views, very deceptive photos on website! One of the alarms for the gas went off. Informed caretaker of this and the fridge problem. I did email my comments to you last week.

Fantastic views from both bedrooms, plenty of wardrobe/drawer space. Kitchen well fitted. Located at the top of a steep hill, which less able people may find difficult, but was worth it for the views. The Champ pub at the bottom of the hill, excellent food and live music, very welcoming. Would not recommend. You can rarely park nearby. Unwelcoming, no tea/coffee/milk after long trip. Main bedroom was very dark, most of the windows too high to see out of. Ok for two people but I wouldn't take children as it felt small. Crossing out names of the previous owners on the welcome letter shows their lack of interest in providing good persRead moreonal service. No fire escape. Find a different flat! Hide

Fabulous apartment, great views. Everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Hill a killer but the views certainly made up for it. Decor throughout lovely. Would definitely recommend. We had a fabulous time and it felt like home.
