Devon barn conversion just on the outskirts of one of the most picturesque villages in Devon, beautifully restored combining a contemporary style and period features. Promising a lavish retreat.

Nearby to this beautifully restored cottage is the cliff side village of Clovelly, with its whitewashed cottages and winding cobbled street down the hillside to the harbour where pubs, shops and restaurants can be enjoyed. Hartland, boasts a selection of craft and pottery shops, cafes, restaurants as well as some of the most spectacular coastline views in the British Isles from Hartland Point. Situated a short drive away is the picturesque seaside village of Westward Ho!, known for its beautiful beach and unique pebble ridge. Further afield you have the ever popular town of Bude which boasts a choice of beaches, numerous amenities and a picturesque canal.

The open plan lounge and dining room welcome you in with light tones and a country charm, the modern kitchen is just off this room with similar calming tones. Upstairs the spacious king size bedroom has luxurious linens and a magnificent original beam sweeping across the ceiling. The shower room has a rain forest shower to indulge yourself under.

Outside there is a small private courtyard across the yard at the front of the property which makes a lovely spot to sit and relax or even have a BBQ. You also have access to the owners 8 acres of peaceful grounds including a small lake to enjoy.

Very comfortable cosy cottage in lovely peaceful location, plus welcoming hostess - what more could you want! Easy access from A39 and close to Clovelly and coastal path walks.

We had a lovely few days at the Wren, Welcomed on arrival and to our delight found it to be tastefully decorated,comfortable and very clean, small touches like the fresh eggs left for our breakfast and biscuits for our tea were most appreciated, the bed was very comfortable and the big shower a delight. Stayed 5 nights in The Wren. Everything was spotlessly clean and well equipped for what we needed. Although in a rural location you could be on a main road within minutes to explore Devon and Cornwall. Anna the owner was lovely and friendly and made us feel very welcome, and would definitely return if we were to head down south again.

The cottage was the perfect retreat for a week away from it all. We had amazing weather. Anna was really friendly and very welcoming, and she had provided lots of information about things to do in the area for days out, local supermarkets and for places to go for dinner. There was milk in the fridge, coffee, teabags and biscuits waiting for us. It was a perfect cottage in a lovely quiet location but not far from the main roads to go out and about for the day and quite a few nice pubs within 10 mins drive. I think the nicest little thing was that the owner kindly on arrival had a pint of milk and some of her hens eggs for us to consume which was very generous. A very cosy, well finished cottage in a quiet setting. A perfect retreat if you want to slow down and have a change of pace. Some lovely places to visit in the Hartland area.
