The three cottages have been sympathetically converted to a high standard from a Victorian stone barn. They are set around a beautiful, fully fenced, grassed courtyard next to the owner's farmhouse. The cottages retain many period features such as vaulted, beamed ceilings and wooden floors. When combined with modern features and cosy wood burners, these cottages give much charm and comfort.

Tucked away in its own 47 acres in a sunny valley within the Exmoor National Park. Surrounded by panoramic views and bordered by woodland, a river, and rolling pasture, it is a perfect place for a secluded and peaceful self-catering holiday. At the end of a long unmade farm track it is a delightful and safe environment for children and animals, free from passing traffic, 3 miles from the unspoilt village of Parracombe with its award-winning pub and friendly shop and Post Office. You will be within easy reach of moorland and the North Devon coast, Lynton and Lynmouth, Combe Martin and the sandy beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde. Footpaths lead direct from the cottages to the moors and the beach at Heddon's Mouth which is a 3.5 mile walk. As well as splendid walking, there are riding stables nearby together with a wide variety of local attractions for all weathers. The farm is home to red deer, bats, buzzards, owls, otters and a huge array of wildlife and wildflowers.

Play facilities: fenced outdoor picnic/play area with Wendy house and small climbing frame. Games room: cheerful, bright barn in the courtyard with table tennis, table football, small snooker table, skittles, croquet and many more toys and games. Outside: large shared grassy courtyard with garden furniture for playing outdoor games, picnicking or a quiet read. Access to shared patio area with gas BBQ and Chimnea, with spectacular views over the valley and of the setting sun. Utility: shared laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, large overhead drying rack, wellies and fishing nets to borrow. Amenities: bed linen, electric, central heating and wi-fi included. Towels for hire. First basket of logs free then £7.50 per basket. Arrival: 3.30pm.

The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 king-size double bedroom with views across the courtyard, 1 twin and 1 further twin gallery bedroom, which overlooks the living room. Bathroom: large with shower over bath, WC and shaver point. Off the living room is a separate shower room with shower, WC and shaver point. Lounge/kitchen/diner: spacious, open-plan living area with wooden floors and lovely views of the valley furnished with two large sofas, armchair, woodburner, flatscreen TV, radio, DVD and CD. Fully fitted kitchen with farmhouse table, pine cupboards, gas cooker, freezer, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Outside: private patio with picnic table and BBQ. Shared enclosed courtyard. Amenities: regret no smoking. 3 well behaved dogs welcome, but dogs must not be left unattended and be kept on leads where requested. Easily accessed, fully enclosed, half acre meadow/orchard area for dogs off lead. Additional info: generous reductions for parties of 2 in off-peak weeks, call for more details.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

What a lovely place, cosy but not cramped. Access would have been difficult if vehicle was lower.

Very nice accommodation, friendly welcome (the dogs may initially make a noise but are friendly). An "interesting" drive down the track to the farm but started getting used to it by the end of the week.

Very helpful and friendly owners, lovely quiet location, beautiful gardens. Somewhat difficult for elderly people to manage

This cottage is amazing for families, easily the best equipped accommodation we have stayed in. There are Stair gates everywhere and two high chairs and travel cots were provided for out twins, meaning we didn't have to take them - sooooo helpful. The cottage has plenty of space, is comfortable and cosy. The location is lovely and our kids loved thRead moree play area - highly recommended. Hide

The cottage and immediate surrounding area was beautiful. Quite possibly the cleanest and most equipped property I have ever stayed in. The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very dog friendly. Highly recommended!
