This stylish property sits at the end of the owner’s driveway. Located close to a selection of beaches and the Dorset border it provides a great base for some great days out including fossil hunting along the famous Jurassic Coast.

An ideal base for touring the South Devon/Dorset coastline which is a short drive away and includes the popular beaches at Charmouth, Bridport, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe. The unspoilt Axe estuary is also nearby with its bird and nature reserve and provides some lovely walking opportunities. The market town of Axminster has shops, inns, restaurants, a sports centre, weekly market, and the famous River Cottage Café and Shop. Other attractions in the area include Abbotsbury, Crealy, Bicton Park, Burrows Farm Gardens and a selection of National Trust properties including Killerton and Knightshayes Court.

The bright and airy accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 king-size with en-suite shower and WC and 1 twin. Shower room: adjacent to the twin bedroom with WC and heated towel rail. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with TV and DVD. Kitchen area with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge. Utility room: with washing machine. Outside: patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 small/medium dog welcome. Location: pub 3 miles, beach 4 miles.

The cottage is cosy and warm ( as we visited in winter ) . Has all the amenities one needs. And the Jurassic coast is right on your doorstep .

After a 7 hour journey we were met by the friendly owner, she gave us all the information we needed and had left us the essentials bread, milk plus delicious non essentials too. The accommodation was lovely clean and modern the perfect size for a family of 4 and close to numerous great days out such as Lyme Regis, Beer, Crealy adventure park, and MRead moreonkey World. Hide

Great base for holidaying in Dorset. Great views from Lodge peaceful surrounds, owners very helpful in all aspects. We were welcomed on arrival and started our holiday with cream tea and muffins also the provision of milk and bread was greatly welcome. Thank you.

Lovely location. Two bathrooms is a bonus Near enough to the local beaches without the hassle of the traffic. The views are lovely. Shopping not far away. The owners left us afternoon tea which was very welcome. The owners lived just up the driveway, but apart from asking us if we were ok and had everything we wanted when we arrived - they never inRead moretruded in our privacy. We are a retired couple - don't think cottage would suit young children as no fenced in outdoor space but we enjoyed it. Hide
