Charming farm cottage nestling within the Tamar Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, enjoying easy access to Devon’s south coast and Dartmoor National Park

This pretty cottage enjoys a tranquil rural location on the owners farm, within the Tamar Valley, a picturesque river valley which stretches from Bodmin Moor in the west, to Dartmoor in the East and offers many miles of scenic walks and cycling routes. There are many attractions to be enjoyed in the surrounding area, including Buckland Abbey, Cothele House, the historic city of Plymouth, with its famous Hoe. For those for whom a holiday is incomplete with a day at the seaside, the beaches of Bovisand and Bantham are both within easy driving distance.

The cottage is located adjacent to the owner’s property, and offers private accommodation for two. The main living area, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is on the ground-floor of the property and offers a lounge area with sofa seating, TV, and DVD. The kitchen breakfast bar provides dining space overlooking the lounge area, whilst the kitchen itself is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and washing machine. A door from the living area gives access to the property’s terrace, making it easy for guests to take drinks and meals outside. Open-tread wooden stairs lead to the first-floor bedroom, a double room, with its own TV, and en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, there is a pretty, plant-filled covered patio terrace to the rear of the property, which has a table and chairs for guests to enjoy alfresco dining, or perhaps just the tranquil surroundings. Sun loungers are provided for guests use and are kept in the garden shed. Guests also have access to the owner’s gardens and the twenty-one acres of bluebell woodlands. There is plentiful off-road parking provided and it is even possible to park trailers and boats onsite by prior arrangement. The owners can also provide stabling for guests’ horses on request, at an additional fee, as well as boat launching on the nearby River Tamar.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
