A beautiful, well equipped and comfortable cottage! The location overlooking the river is just stunning and we loved the peaceful countryside setting. The narrow country roads that others mentioned in previous reviews did not bother us and werent too busy. There is an enclosed garden which was perfect for our dog and we enjoyed many lovely walks. TRead morehe Plough Inn pub is a good pub in close proximity. We visited nearby attractions, Buckland Abbey and Morewellham Quay. Hide

We had a lovely time despite the bad weather, the cottage was comfortable and was fully equipped and there was plenty of room for 6 adults. The conservatory was a bonus and a great place for meals The only downside is that there are no amenities in the village and any driving was down narrow lanes.

The cottage was in a lovely position and the garden views were beautiful

Stunning setting on the river , pretty garden , have to drive everywhere round country lanes ,which are surprisingly busy, even for essentials. Peaceful and relaxing lovely setting.

Lovely cottage and beautiful area but a fair drive to most things along quite narrow roads so be good at reversing! However dont let this put you off if you're after a peaceful break in beautiful scenery book now

Wonderful location. Stunning views of the river Tavy and its wildlife. Well equipped spacious cottage. Friendly village and great pub at The Olde Plough Inn. Spectacular local walks and regular train service for nearby regional adventures. Village shop in old Village Hall selling local produce on Saturdays from 10-12pm.

Riverside Retreat is very spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The garden is private and enclosed (perfect for our dog) and has lots of outdoor furniture for enjoying the views. The owners decorated the cottage beautifully for our Christmas stay. It is a peaceful retreat but a good 20 min drive into Tavistock.
