This stylish ground-floor apartment for two, situated on a small complex of holiday properties, has access to shared facilities including an indoor pool, sauna, and wooded gardens.

This apartment is situated in a fantastic location in south Devon, right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and just a short distance from Stover Country Park, a 114-acre nature reserve where visitors can not only enjoy spotting the abundance of wildlife, but also follow the 90-metre aerial walkway and explore the Ted Hughes poetry trail which features some of the late poet laureate’s best-loved nature poems, with illustrations by Raymond Briggs. Twelves miles to the south of the property is the seaside town of Dawlish, which has an interesting array of shops and eateries, and is just one-and-a-half miles from the fantastic sandy beach at Dawlish Warren.

This ground-floor apartment offers contemporary accommodation for two in stylish surroundings. On arriving at the property, guests will find the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its flagstone floor, inviting sofa, TV, and DVD. At the far end of the room, a breakfast bar separates the lounge area from the kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. A separate utility area houses the dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The property’s bedroom is a spacious double room with a lovely restful atmosphere, and benefits from an additional TV allowing guests to enjoy a relaxing lie-in, or a late-night movie. The bathroom is accessed via stairs leading up from the bedroom, and offers a shower over bath and WC.

Outside, the apartment has its own private patio area with a BBQ and garden furniture, which is tucked away behind a stone wall offering a private space from which to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. In addition to this, guests have access to the generously-sized gardens, and of course, to the fantastic indoor pool and the Scandinavian-style sauna. There is ample off-road parking available.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

approx 7 miles from Dawlish. road leading to property is more of a country lane of i car width, not much traffic so not a problem. bit bumpy. very warm wellcome accomadation very good and clean. nice size swimming pool.

I would definitely recommend this, but just check you are able to use the pool. There are lovely farm shops nearby (10 min drive) for breakfast which was the highlight!

The flat itself is great and the location was good for us, as it provided a central point within easy reach of many places we wanted to visit. The pool and sauna are a big plus. The lanes leading to the property are however in very poor condition with very major potholes when turning right out of the driveway. Not suitable IMO for anything other thRead morean farm and military vehicles. Hide

Welcoming and thoughtful owners. Perfect accommodation for two (plus dog) with all mod cons and use of lovely indoor pool/sauna. Well placed for exploring this side of Dartmoor with lovely river valley and moor walks. Plenty of friendly pubs. Ticked all our boxes.

Swallows End is a beautiful place. Very peaceful and very homely. The owners are fantastic and just let you get on with your break with no intrusions. The y have a beautiful pool area complete with sauna that you have access to. I spent 3 days there with my son and he absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend this beautiful place.
