An ideal holiday destination for families, couples and groups of friends, the delightful dog-friendly cottages Chichester has to offer are perfect for exploring this breathtaking part of the South Coast. With its excellent self-catering pet-friendly accommodation, Chichester is a wonderful base for dogs and their owners discovering some of the many local highlights of Sussex, including the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, West Wittering, Hayling Island and the thriving city of Portsmouth.
Chichester has a number of pet-welcoming cafes, pubs and restaurants, and your canine companions can also visit the cathedral’s grounds and garden. The stunning South Downs National Park covers more than 600 square miles, with the glorious Kingley Vale within easy reach (4 miles). Dogs can also enjoy the glorious parkland at Petworth (15.5 miles), West Dean Gardens (6 miles), Whiteways Wood in Arundel (10.5 miles) and the Weald and Downland Living Museum (6 miles). All-year dog-friendly beaches can be found at Thorney Island (9 miles) and West Beach in Littlehampton, with its golden the sand dunes (12.5 miles). Your four-legged pals are permitted along many other local beaches close to our Chichester cottages, including West Wittering (8 miles) and Bognor Regis (7 miles) but with some seasonal restrictions.
