The Peak District National Park is a truly fantastic destination for a holiday that your dog will enjoy just as much as you. Not only are there miles upon miles of open landscapes to explore together, but we have a variety of dog-friendly cottages available in the Peak District - the perfect base for adventures.
Spend days exploring the rolling hills, charming farm towns and villages, and the beautiful moorland before returning to your cosy pet-friendly self-catering cottage to relax and plan the next day’s adventures.
Some features your dog will love may include enclosed gardens, doggy welcome packs and roaring fires perfect for naps, without compromising on the style and quality two-legged guests expect too. Also, why not treat yourself to a hot tub, swimming pool or even spa facilities?
Whether you're planning a couples’ break with your lovable third wheel or a big group getaway, a lodge, traditional cottage or apartment, there's so much choice available.
There are a wide range of dog-friendly attractions in the Peak District to visit. Of course there's the glorious Heights of Abraham, and the Monsal Trail for walkies, but we highly recommend adding these to your to-do list too:
For people and pups that love to shop, a trip to Peak Village is a must. Located near Bakewell (where we have a variety of dog-friendly cottages), you can do a spot of shopping as well as visiting Barks and Co. for your dog to do some shopping of their own.
For vintage-lovers, take a step back in time and ride the tram in the Crich Tramway Village - there's also a sculpture trail nearby for you dog to stretch their legs even more.
Speaking of walks, the High Peak Trail is livestock free. As a former railway line, it makes for a pleasant walk for all ability levels. Or you could hop over the famous stepping stones at Dovedale.
Once you've experienced everything the Peak District has to offer, why not explore the rest of the UK and Ireland with your dog? We have over 10,000 dog-welcoming properties available so wherever you go next your dog can come along for the ride. After all, it's not truly a holiday without them, is it?
