Discover this idyllic village from the comfort of one of our dog-friendly cottages in Tintagel, Cornwall. Tintagel is a small village located in the north of Cornwall that’s steeped in mythology and boasts glorious views across the Atlantic Ocean and Cornish landscape. The village and Tintagel Castle are linked to the legends of King Arthur and there are plenty of stories to discover when you visit here. The castle is popular with tourists and the walk along Tintagel Head and towards Tintagel Island is full of scenic coastal views. You will also pass ruins of a Celtic monastery and tunnels that run under the island – one of which is known as Merlin’s Cave.
Boscastle is located 3.5 miles from our Tintagel cottages, and can be reached by both car and foot. Our dog-friendly cottages in Tintagel, Cornwall, are well located to access coastal walks and from here, you and your dog will be able to access the South West Coast Path and even walk to Boscastle should you be up to the challenge. The bustling village of Port Isaac is less than 9.5 miles down the coast and you may recognise some of the views and buildings from the popular TV show, Doc Martin. Bodmin is 19 miles inland and has plenty of rich history to be discovered. For those seeking great surf, Newquay is 30 miles from Tintagel, and the town is known for its many water sports opportunities.
