Tintagel is a small village located in the north of Cornwall that’s steeped in mythology and boasts glorious views across the Atlantic Ocean and Cornish landscape. The village and Tintagel Castle are linked to the legends of King Arthur and there are plenty of stories to discover when you visit here. The castle is popular with tourists and the walk along Tintagel Head and towards Tintagel Island is full of scenic coastal views. You will also pass ruins of a Celtic monastery and tunnels that run under the island – one of which is known as Merlin’s Cave.
