This stylish Edwardian villa is set in a quiet spot minutes from the centre of Gillingham, Dorset’s most northerly town. Bordering both Wiltshire and Somerset and with direct rail links from London, this popular town offers something for everyone, with a good selection of pubs, cafes and shops close at hand along with a leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Spend an afternoon browsing around town or take a trip to nearby Shaftesbury, home to the famous Gold Hill. Set within rolling pastureland known as the Blackmore Vale, there are an abundance of routes suitable for walking and riding winding through this picturesque landscape. With plenty of attractions to keep you entertained including Stourhead House and Gardens, Salisbury Cathedral, The Longleat Estate, Stonehenge and Haynes Motor Museum within easy reach. It is ideal for couples or small families looking to explore the stunning Dorset coastline with a huge variety of attractions and amenities nearby including Poole, The Jurassic Coast, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth, Portland and Abbotsbury, to name a few. Heading from the sloping parking area at the front of the semi-detached property you will find the main entrance. Entering into the spacious hallway leads firstly into a cosy lounge with TV/DVD, enjoy the warmth of the wood burner whilst looking out onto to the leafy street beyond. Leading on from here is a bright and airy dining room, which is the ideal spot for enjoying a leisurely meal. The kitchen also leads off of the central hallway and is well-equipped with a range style electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Next to here is a useful utility area with WC, washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading up to the first floor you will find a stunning bathroom with inviting slipper bath, perfect for a long soak and WC. There are three bedrooms, a spacious double with bay window, a compact double and an cosy single room with day bed. Decorated with care in period colours, this inviting property is sure to relax.

Heading outside, the secure enclosed garden is lined with pretty borders and has a small lawn and patio area with furniture and charcoal BBQ. There is off-road parking for four cars available to the front of the property.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

We had a lovely week in this great property. It was so clean, well equipped and spacious. Great for exploring the area. Ideally situated on the edge of town, yet in a rural location. Great for the dogs too. We didn't want to leave.

Very well equipped, comfortable and (most important to us) dog friendly cottage. Excellent, central fact we could see Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset in a day! We shall certainly be returning.

Lovely house, The bedrooms very comfortable, small bedroom quite small and has now wardrobe or chest of draws, perfect for kids. Great little garden with barbecue and nice and secure for the dogs. All in all great experience and would recommend the house to anyone wanting to visit Dorset and surrounding area.

Wonderful location with great local amenities. Home very well equipped and beautifully presented, a real home from home. We used this property as a stepping stone onto our forever home, having just returned from living in Australia. We had everything we needed, and even our 2 little dogs were catered for in the secure garden.

Very comfortable stay. Lovely location. Great for touring both Dorset and Somerset. This cottage is superb, dog friendly with nearby walks. Great layout and a kitchen and bathroom to die for and a wood burning stove in the lounge. The utility room is great for those wet and damp days, giving somewhere to dry soggy doggies off. Well situation for shops and takeaways, but far enough away to give that countryside feel.
