This purpose-built holiday home makes a welcoming base from which to explore this stunning stretch of coastline.

Located in the traditional Dorset seaside village of Charmouth and with onsite leisure facilities for all ages, this property is also conveniently located just a short stroll from the beach, as well as to local pubs and shops, perfect for stocking up on supplies. Wonderful cliff-top walks can be enjoyed along the nearby Jurassic Coast, a Natural World Heritage Site boasting fossil-rich beaches and spectacular scenery. Also nearby is the wonderful town of Lyme Regis, which offers a beautiful unspoilt seafront with sheltered south-facing beaches and traditional deckchairs that line the promenade in the summer. Other nearby attractions include the charming resorts of Beer, Branscombe and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.

Inside, this delightful converted former farm building is light and bright with oak flooring and tastefully neutral decor throughout. Prepare family meals in the spacious kitchen, which contains an integrated oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, while a separate utility room houses the washer/dryer. Once prepared, enjoy meals overlooking the patio in the open-plan lounge/diner. At the other end of this room are comfortable sofas for relaxing and unwinding after a long day on foot and making the most of the TV or watch a DVD. Heading upstairs there are two bedrooms, one king-size with a TV and one twin, ideal for children. The bedrooms share a bathroom with an overhead shower on the first floor, together with a wet room style shower room on the ground floor.

Stepping outside, there is a sunny private patio area with garden furniture for enjoying al fresco meals. Guests are invited to enjoy the neighbouring holiday park which includes a shared, covered outdoor heated swimming pool (available during specific dates only and not available all year, please refer to the 'need to know' section for details), Char Valley Café which serves speciality teas and coffees and a shared outdoor children's play area. For a reduced charge and available to adults, is the well-equipped Char Valley Health Club, including a gym, indoor pool, sauna and steam room.

Please note there is a refundable £50 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

The pool is open 7 days a week in the main school summer holidays between 10am-5pm and closed for lunch. Warm, comfortable cottage with all mod cons. Some good practical features for holiday stay such as separate utility room for washing clothes and muddy boots. Downstairs loo and wet room plus upstairs bathroom with bath and shower very useful. Pool was excellent for family use and a great bonus with wet weather outside - coffee shop also good. Lovely little cottage, great location and easy to get to Lyme Regis, Weymouth, West Bay and Abbotsbry. Fab local pub The George for food and very friendly.

Excellent use of space with good size bedrooms. Additional wetroom was a bonus! Located in a quiet rural village, 5 minutes walk from beach and a great central location to tour Dorset.
