PRETTY COTTAGE WITH GARDEN ON EDGE OF IDYLLIC RURAL VILLAGE. SLEEPS 3+1

This delightful former mill has been refurbished and converted into two semi-detached cottages, approached by a small private lane offering peace and seclusion within a large attractive shared rear lawn garden which leads down to early reaches of the River Frome.

Located within the rolling picturesque Dorset countryside, in the charming village of Cattistock, this is a village with Church, village shop and pub. This is the perfect spot for guests looking for a relaxing break in peaceful surroundings yet centrally located. The cottage is ideal for guests looking to explore the wider area, from Cerne Abbas with its famous giant carved into the chalk hillside, Weymouth Sea Life Park and Marine Sanctuary, Abbotsbury Swannery, to the awe inspiring World Heritage Jurassic Coast that is a must for guests visiting the area, to name but a few.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms accessed via steep cottage style stairs: 1 king-size and 1 single with additional futon bed if required. Shower room: with shower and WC. Lounge: with open fire (first basket of logs included) and TV/DVD. Dining room: with woodburner effect electric fire and hi-fi. Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer. Outside: patio area with garden furniture and use of shared lawn. Amenities: off-road parking for 2 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric, electric heating and Wi-Fi included. Additional info: selection of DVD's, books and games. Pond and river in shared gardens, children to take care. Regret no pets. Regret no smoking. Location: pub and shop within walking distance. Beach 10 miles.

Lovely, quiet country cottage with beautiful riverside garden. Village with sociable pub and shop a few minutes walk away. Dorchester and coast fairly easy drive. Helpful and friendly hosts next door. Would happily return!

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Two small drawbacks are the narrow winding staircase and the downstairs bathroom/toilet. The owners brother next door is very friendly and helpful.

Anyone liking peace and tranquility or wanting to be in Hardy country this is the place to be. The cottage was very equipped, quietly located at the end of a long drive with the beginnings of the River Frome at the bottom of the garden but conveniently placed for walks in the countryside, short drives to various "attractions" and within distance ofRead more the sea at Weymouth and Portland. Our neighbours welcomed us, were keen to be of assistance but were very discreet at the same time. Recommended. Hide

Beautiful location and very tastefully furnished. If peace and quiet are what you prefer, this is an excellent choice. The neighbours/custodians of the cottage are warm and welcoming though discreet also, which was much appreciated. We had a lovely time.
