This is a lovely converted cider barn. The only downside is that it was a little remote for us and we had to drive everywhere. The roads are all single track which made things a bit difficult. However saying that it was ideal for our 3 dogs. Lovely property, very peaceful.

We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful location but because of where the cottage is (on a farm in the middle of the countryside) the lanes leading to it were very narrow and bendy making it difficult if anything was coming in the opposite direction.

Beautiful dog friendly cottage set in a lovely rural village setting with every comfort you could wish for. We really enjoyed our stay at Char Cider Barn, very comfortable and everything we needed to make our stay a home from home. Quiet location conveniently situated only 10 minutes from Charmouth and Lyme. Would definitely recommend this property for anyone with or actually without dogs too - lovely even in the depths of winter!

A cosy, bijoux little cottage with all that you need for a weekend getaway! We spent two nights here, there was a large comfortable bed and all we needed in the kitchen to make breakfasts and dinners. A short walk/drive to Charmouth and surrounding towns. Perfect for a couple and small dog!

We had a relaxing week at Char Cider Barn but were disappointed that downstairs is so small ! The photos make it look so much bigger. The kitchen is minute and dining table tiny. The bedroom above is delightful. The Wifi reception is very intermittent which was frustrating and the driveway is a nightmare to navigate by foot - but it was January! We have just returned from a very welcome break at Char barn. It was a very spacious and cosy cottage with a comfy sofa and big comfy bed in a gorgeous large bedroom. Lovely area and close to Lyme Regis which we loved. We felt very much at home there.

Very comfortable farm stay cottage; warm and cosy in winter; helpful information in the folder re shopping and touring; close to Whitchurch Canonicorum village but a car is definitely needed.

The cottage was warm , clean and equipped sufficiently for a short stay. However there was no welcome and had we not had to tell the owner in the morning after our arrival about a minor problem( broken shower head and dirty pan) we may not have seen her at all . Anyway out of politeness, we felt that we should introduce ourselves. Lambs in the fielRead mored in December, hens running outside the window and sitting in the trees made for a rural idyll. The gardener and his daughter were very friendly! Hide

It was just as pretty inside as the pictures suggest Hillary was helpful and showed us her newborn lambs. The pub was closed on the Saturday that we were there and is always closed on a Monday. It's a longish walk so worth checking first that it is open.

This property was just what we were looking for, a quite, secluded corner of Dorset. Easy reach to all places of interest...specially the coast.
