One-of-four Listed barn conversion properties located next to the owners’ organic farm in the village of Leigh in North Dorset, enjoying a shared games barn and beautiful countryside views.

This property is located five miles from the market town of Sherborne in North Dorset, in the quiet village of Leigh. An interesting day can be spent exploring Sherborne, with its two castles, and historic Abbey, as well as its range of shops and choice of restaurants and pubs. Of course, Dorset is well-known for its breath-taking Jurassic Coast, which lies just thirty miles south of the property, offering a wealth of sweeping beaches, clifftop walks, and opportunities to try out a range of watersports. Other places of interest in the area include the Haynes Motor Museum, the Fleet Air Arm Museum, and the Cerne Abbas Giant.

The ground floor of this attractive barn-conversion property is occupied by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its beamed ceiling and homely atmosphere. Two sofas provide guests with a comfortable spot in which to relax with a book, or enjoy a film on the TV/DVD. A wooden dining table comfortably seats four, behind which the kitchen area running along one side of the room is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, both with sloping ceilings, and therefore some reduced head-height. The first of these is a double room which benefits from its own TV, whilst the second is a pleasant twin room. The shower room with its shower and WC is also located on the first floor.

Outside, the property has a delightful patio garden with a table and chairs which enjoys views over the surrounding fields. Guests are also able to make use of a shared games room which offers a snooker table, dartboard, and a table football table. The property is located on a non-working part of the owners’ organic farm, but they are always happy to show guests around and introduce them to the resident sheep and chickens. There is secure bike storage available, alongside parking for two cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The Creamery is a lovely cottage, in a very peaceful setting. The owner, Chris, made us feel very welcome. The weather thwarted our tour of his dairy farm, which was a shame, but we would love to go back, so hopefully we'll get another chance. The cottage is very comfortable, and is well-equipped. Bedding and towels were provided. The shower was exRead morecellent, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommended! Hide

Beautiful, peaceful setting and a good centre to explore Dorset and Somerset. Watching the sun go down while sitting on the patio with a drink in one`s hand was a great way to spend an evening while on holiday.

All mod cons in the property. Great location for West Dorset beaches. Fields nearby for exercising dogs first and last thing. Locals very friendly and helpful landlord.
