The property has been lovingly fitted and furnished using an array of handcrafted local materials. Nestling on a 150 acre family run farm with campsite, horses, sheep, ducks and geese and boasting some stunning countryside views it provides a great taste of laid-back rural life.

The immediate area has much to offer including some fabulous walking and cycling terrain, and pretty villages to explore, including Cerne Abbas which is famous for its chalk figure of a man carved into the hillside. Almost equidistant from the historic market towns of Dorchester and Blandford Forum, those who enjoy seeking out independent shops and galleries area also well catered for. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include The World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, namely Lulworth Cove and Lyme Regis, Milton Abbas and it's famous abbey, Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Corfe Castle, Abbotsbury Swannery, the abbey town of Sherborne. Leisure facilities: on-site fishing.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: on the ground floor, 1 super-king-size zip-and-link (that can be made up as a twin upon request) with day bed and pull-out single bed (only suitable for children) with en-suite bathroom and WC, which is approached by 3 steps from the bedroom and 1 king-size zip-and-link (that can be made up as a twin upon request, beds are 2'6" wide as singles). Wet room: with shower and WC, on the ground floor. Lounge/kitchen/diner: lounge area accessed via 2 steps down from dining area, open-plan living space with woodburner. Kitchen area, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Second lounge: on the first floor, with TV/DVD with Sky TV (basic entertainment package), sofa bed, and selection of games and DVDs. Outside: decked split-level balcony with garden furniture. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, underfloor heating and washer/dryer. Wi-Fi included, please note the signal can vary due to the property's location. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome. Location: beach 17 miles, pub and shop within walking distance.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

This is a fabulous barn conversion - the best we have ever stayed in - with a few little tweaks we could make this a permanent home. The hosts are great and their dogs are very friendly. We visited in October when there was only one couple on the campsite so we didn't find the proximity to campsite facilities at all intrusive. Warm welcome, everything you needed was in place so you could relax and not have the inconvenience of going 12 miles up the road to buy tolet paper. The decor was lovely and great shower, the deck had the sun from late morning until the evening so you could enjoy the view and you had a couple of freindly dogs visit you who belonged to the owners. Located in beautiful countryside with wonderful views. Cowslip was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, has everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Located on a working farm but was peaceful. Campsite showers are located by the cottage but this was not a problem. Can wander the farm and through fields to fishing lake and duck pond, just clRead moreose gates. Located a drive away from Jurassic coast but worth the drive to visit some breathtaking locations. We stayed for 2 weeks and found the cottage very well equipped and comfortable. Clive and Linda were wonderful hosts and very informative about the local area. The cottage is located in the farmyard next to the campers' shower room so its not very private which was not a problem for us. Very peaceful panoramic location. Very welcoming hosts and who were extremley helpful and interesting to talk to. The cottage is beautiful and incredibly well equipped. Great space and well furnished. You can't help admire the oak beams and stone walls. It has all the ability to be a family home let alone a holiday home!

The barn was a very relaxing place to stay and lovely owners. However Wifii did not work, one of the booking criteria, causing issues on gaining routes with our Tom Tom on excursions out. Having 2 dogs one under 1, we needed an enclosed garden which this clearly didn't have but partly my fault from not asking on booking. My family truly loved Cowslip Corner. The Barn conversion is beautifully executed. The hosts were a perfect balance of attentive but not over bearing and Hester the puppy was loved by everyone. Amazing spacious accommodation great for families or friends. Cant recommend it enough.
