This character cottage has been lovingly updated to offer modern amenities and a home-from-home feel.

Situated in the picturesque seaside village of Eype near Bridport, the property is surrounded by the rolling West Dorset hills. The village itself boasts a popular pub and hotel, while a short walk will bring you to its beautiful sand and gravel beach. The World Heritage Jurassic Coast has plenty to offer, from fossil hunting to scuba diving, paragliding and boating. Or, simply follow the coastal path for a bracing walk with breath-taking scenery at every step. Other nearby attractions include the seaside town of West Bay, the markets in Bridport and numerous National Trust properties and gardens. If all this is just too much then simply relax in your enclosed garden and admire the views.

Inside, the accommodation is cosy and open-plan with an open fire, wooden flooring and plenty of natural light. Prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen, which includes an electric oven and hob, integrated fridge with ice compartment, microwave, coffee machine, food mixer and other kitchen gadgets. A separate utility room located in an outside shed houses a washer/dryer. Dine at the table in the kitchen before retreating to the cosy lounge area for an evening beside the fire. This area also includes Smart TV with Amazon Firestick and DVD player for quiet evenings in. Upstairs there are two light and bright bedrooms, one double with far-reaching views and one twin. The bedrooms share a shower room on the first floor which has a WC and heated towel rail.

Stepping outside to the rear garden, there is a decked patio area with garden furniture for enjoying al fresco drinks and BBQs. This area leads to an enclosed lawn beyond where you can set up the hammock and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding rolling countryside. This is also perfect for children and dogs to play in.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful location. Coastal path walks in each direction and pub selling good food just down the road, so no need of car. Welcome pack provided everything to get you started-perfect.

The cottage was small but thoughtfully furnished to be very comfortable.The kitchen was well equipped and was very welcoming as there was home made bread and jam,eggs,butter,milk and a small bottle of wine.The beds were comfortable with nice linen and wonderful views from the windows.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Views from rear of cottage are stunning. Cottage very well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Welcome pack was one of best we have had in a holiday cottage!! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a pretty cottage in a quiet setting near sea and countryside!!

Had a lovely stay in this very nicely furnished holiday cottage. It has to be the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed at. Great spot 10 minutes walk to the coastal path.

This is a lovely old cottage and we are very fussy this was our second visit. Please take note that it is very hilly so not great for people with mobility problems that said, the area is stunning the cottage has lots of games, books etc to amuse if the weather is bad. It is a home from home, the welcome pack is lovely and the food cupboard is very Read morehandy. Our dog loves the garden! And it is literally a 1min walk to the pub which serves beautiful food. Lovely well equipped cottage in a pretty and quiet village, short walk to the sea and beach, good pub two minutes walk away, plus friendly hotel close to the beach. Short drive to the town of Bridport, with Supermarket and many shops and restaurants.

Honeysuckle Cottage was everything it said it was. We felt at home immediately and Danielle obviously knows what people want especially the honesty cupboard as no shop in the village, there is always something you may require! Honeysuckle Cottage was the perfect location for our family of four plus dog. Gorgeous walks from the doorstep, a good local pub and a very comfortable, well equipped cottage. Cosy inside and a lovely garden outside. Friendly owners on hand in the village. We'll definitely return.
