WORKING FARM, PERFECT LOCATION FOR EXPLORING DORSET

This semi-detached cottage is approached via a farm lane and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The rear of the cottage overlooks a working farm however privacy is assured. A perfect place to get away and unwind.

The immediate area is ideal for walking and cycling as there are a wealth of bridleway footpaths to explore. Sherborne is a beautiful town and offers visitors an abundance of medieval buildings, a superb Abbey, castle and excellent shops. Dorchester is a market town with a rich and varied history, it is home to the famous Thomas Hardy novels. Although slightly inland Dorchester is a great base from which to explore Dorset's Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site as well as the cosmopolitan resorts of Bournemouth and Poole. There are several attractions close by including Weymouth with its seafront, beaches, Sealife Centre and harbour, Abbotsbury Swannery, Lulworth Cove and Castle, Durdle Door and Monkey World.

The accommodation is arranged on one level and offers ONE bedroom: twin room. Shower room: wet room style with WC. Lounge: with woodburner effect electric fire, TV/DVD, Freeview and hi-fi. Kitchen/diner: with electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Outside: patio doors from the lounge lead onto an enclosed courtyard at the rear of the property with BBQ and wonderful countryside views. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome. Additional info: dog cage available if required. Storage for bicycles and larger items available. Location: beach 20 miles, shops and pubs 1 mile. Additional Info: dog sitting service available by arrangement with the owner, outside tap for muddy boots and paws.

We spent a very pleasant few days in Dorset and would certainly go again.

Although quite compact, this cottage comes with all the equipment required for a comfortable stay of any length. The location is centrally placed for Sherborne and the coastal visitor spots. There are enjoyable walks straight out of the door too! Good restaurants and pubs are all a short drive away. Loved it and will definitely rebook.

The proprieters Meg and Brian were very welcoming and helpful. The farm is a great location for walkers and also within easy reach of towns or coast.
