Nestling close to the heart of the lovely seaside resort of Swanage this charming and spacious Grade II listed stone cottage retains many original features and is a cosy and comfy holiday home.

With a glorious golden sandy beach, Swanage is a perfect seaside resort. The nearby town centre offers a choice of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. You will also find a variety of traditional and modern amusements including Punch and Judy, pedaloes, crazy golf and a Victorian pier which is great for fishing, as well as a diving school and boat hire. The steam railway from Swanage provides an enjoyable way of travelling to the historic and picturesque village of Corfe Castle. The cottage is also ideal for enjoying beautiful coastal walks. The path eastwards takes you across Ballard Down into Studland, while the westward route takes you through Durleston and on to quaint villages including Worth Matravers, Kimmeridge and Lulworth.

Dating back over 300 years, this beautiful Grade II listed cottage retains many original features including ancient wooden beams and beautiful Purbeck stone flooring. The cottage has an impressive Georgian front door which leads you into a charming and spacious lounge which features a delightful inglenook fireplace with a traditional wood burner. The welcoming and tastefully furnished lounge also offers plenty of comfy seating, TV and DVD. The stairs descend a little further to a lovely, open-plan kitchen/diner. Here you will find a delightful dining area, and the stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. A few steps down from the lounge will lead you into a cosy double bedroom with a TV/DVD and a shower room complete with a built-in shower and WC. Heading up the fairly narrow cottage style staircase from the lounge, you will find two further cosy bedrooms - one double and a single room. An additonal folding bed can also be provided.

Stepping outside from the kitchen you will find a lovely large and fully enclosed garden with a pleasant patio area with garden furniture so you can relax in the sunshine. A gate opens from the garden on to a covered walkway which leads directly to the front door. (This walkway may occasionally be used by a neighbour). Cars can be parked for restricted periods immediately outside the cottage if space permits; otherwise plenty of parking is available within a three minute walk.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

The cottage is in a great location close to the shops and beach. The accommodation is on three floors and is suitable for 4 adults and two children and the kitchen has everything you need. The stairs are quite steep with the kitchen downstairs and two of the bedrooms on the top floor so is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Very good cottage for what we needed. Very central and great access to shops. Lots of stairs so make sure you realise this before going. Also paid for 4 lots of towels and only 3 provided and one bed not made. But all this said, lovely house with everything we needed. Nice touch of bottle of wine and chocolates. We could not control the under floorRead more heating in the kitchen but think that was just our inadequacy. Would stay again here but for our two older relatives the stairs were too much. Hide

Very handy for sea front shops & park for walking dogs all with in walk-in distance handy local shop about 100 yards up road trains buses run frequently for sight seeing corf castle village beautiful so quant.

The cottage was very well presented, very light and airy, put the heating and underfloor heating for the kitchen on, the cottage soon gets warm. just a few minutes walk from Swanage shops and seafront. Altogether a very comfortable stay, and the wine and chocolate is a very nice touch.
