There is also numerous National Trust properties and gardens in the area including Stourhead, Montacute Kingston Lacy, Corfe Castle, Hardy's Cottage, Studland Beach and Nature Reserve. Other attractions within easy reach include Monkey World, Abbotsbury Swannery, Longleat Safari Park, Sherborne Castle, and Yeovilton Air Museum.

This was our first stay in Dorset, we wished we had been better prepared foot wise, and we had looked more closely at where we were before hand so we would have had more time enjoying our wonderful surroundings and less time studying Google maps, so first timers plan things before you go and then just enjoy it all.

Lovely cosy cottage that is just right for two. Great location for exploring beautiful Dorset. The owner is very welcoming and informative. Cottage is beautifully situated with its own private garden. The cottage is tastefully furnished and equipped. Would thoroughly recommend.

A very pleasant cottage with all that's needed for a relaxing break. A great location to explore Dorset with the coast only 45 mins away. There is a welcoming afternoon tea with a slice of homemade cake. The host is very friendly and only too willing to help and advise on area's to visit and eat. Beautifully presented in a good area for touring. The hostess was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Good local facilities. Pubs and restaurants close by. Take aways also nearby. Beautiful countryside.

Lovely cottage, a little on the small side, particularly the bedroom, which is tiny, with little clothes storage space. Beautifully furnished and spotless. Welcome tray with cake, cookies, tea and coffee, milk in the fridge & fresh flowers, all much appreciated. Nice little garden area to sit in.
