Situated in the quaint village of Nettlecombe this beautiful 200 year old semi-detached property is just a stone's throw from an award-winning village inn renowned for its fine food.

The traditional cottage retains many original features such as exposed beams, steep cottage style stairs and a charming inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. This cottage is ideally situated for anyone wanting to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday with many fantastic walks direct from the property. The south coast beaches are less than a fifteen minute drive with the popular West Bay being just five miles away on the Jurassic Coast which is England’s first Natural World Heritage Site. The charming market town of Bridport is four miles away and offers weekly markets, a range of restaurants, pubs and shops for those essential supplies, as well as a thriving selection of boutiques selling antiques and vintage curios, should you wish to seek out some treasures and facilities. There are many other attractions close by to suit all tastes and these include numerous National Trust properties and gardens, fishing trips, fossil hunting, horse riding, Monkey World, Lulworth Castle, Durdle Door and much more. In the evenings, relax on the enclosed patio area with seating or enjoy the many delights on offer in the popular family pub next door.

On entering this charming cottage, you will find the snug and inviting lounge/diner. Complete with original features such as an inglenook fireplace with a cosy wood burner and exposed beams, as well as more modern additions such as a TV and DVD, the tastefully furnished lounge offers a perfect spot for relaxation. The dining area is ideally situated to enjoy meals with family and friends. Exploring further, a step up through a low doorway leads to the well-equipped galley kitchen, which provides an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. Completing the ground floor is the contemporary and stylish bathroom, which has a shower over the bath, heated towel rail and WC. Heading up the steep cottage-style stairs from the lounge, you will find two bedrooms. When you reach the top of the stairs you will be in the cosy double room which is a pretty and characterful room. There is also a pretty twin room which is accessed via the double room.

Stepping outside, you can relax in the evening in the charming rear enclosed patio area which has outdoor furniture and a BBQ, ideal for al fresco dining. Parking is available in the adjacent pub car park.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A lovely small warm cozy cottage. This place is perfect if you want a peaceful get away within good travelling distance to the coast. The cottage is well equipped and the The local pub is lovely and only a 30 second walk.

We enjoyed our stay and found the cottage comfortable. We needed the log fire most evenings as there were only storage heaters and therefore appreciated the supply of logs. Although the cottage was situated on a narrow lane parking in the pub car park approx 100 yards or so caused no problems.

This is a cozy and compact cottage, good for a couple or a family with one or two young children (due to the second bedroom being accessed through the main). The stairs are fairly steep so a toddler would need supervision. There are plenty of attractions within an hours drive and the countryside is very attractive, and peaceful. But the location isRead more only reachable by single track roads with passing places, which was hard work. The pub next door is ok, though not a free house, with good food. Hide

Lovely homely cottage in a beautiful rural location. Our 7 year old son loved the big play area in the pub beer garden next door, which was also dog friendly and served nice food. Some of the lanes near the cottage are very narrow but the surrounding countryside was beautiful and there was so much to do and see in the area as a whole, we only wish Read morewed had more time to explore it all! Lovely cottage in a beautiful quiet and peaceful location. Visitors should be aware that the stairs are very steep and that the bathroom is downstairs.

Very quiet and peaceful area, stairs are not suitable for less mobile people. Pub next door very friendly and the beaches and amenities are only a short drive away.
