This quaint semi-detached barn has been tastefully converted using redundant listed farm buildings and nestles within a 28 acres private specialist farm. Access to the barn via a narrow lane.
The farm is home to an alpaca herd and various animals and offers an opportunity to explore many diverse areas such as a Christmas tree plantation, vineyard and an English native woodland. Discover the heart of the Dorset countryside with beautiful landscapes and hidden valleys, all of which offer fantastic walks. Nearby are the pretty market towns of Shaftesbury, located only 5 minutes away, Blandford Forum, Sherborne, Gillingham and Salisbury all within a short drive. The stunning Jurassic Coast is 45 minutes drive. Attractions include Longleat Safari Park, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, Stonehenge and Compton Abbas Airfield. Stabling: livery available. Farm activities: feed the alpacas by arrangement with the owner. Alpaca wool is available to purchase from the owner on request. Games facilities: Paintball and archery available for an additional cost, to be arranged with the owner. Downhill mountain biking tracks available. Snooker table, darts, skittle alley and bar available at nearby village hall on Monday and Thursday evenings. Leisure facilities: fly fishing is available at the farm opposite, at a cost of £10 per person per day, by direct arrangement with the farmer.
This single-storey accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin with pull out bed (available on request). Shower room: wet room with shower and WC, complete with disabled access, fixtures and fittings. Lounge/kitchen/diner: with flatscreen TV, DVD and Freeview. Kitchen area equipped with cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Outside: lawn seating area with access to BBQ, fire pit and outdoor trampoline (for children only). Small pond in garden, please take care with children. Amenities: off-road parking for 3 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric and underfloor heating and Wi-Fi included.
