Beautifully situated overlooking a mill pond in the picturesque and old part of Swanage, this property enjoys a peaceful, traffic-free location. Stroll to the beautiful sandy beach in this small seaside resort, where gentle waves offer perfect conditions for swimming and paddling. If you’re looking to get out on the water, boat trips, fishing and even diving are all available locally. Keen walkers will enjoy the delights of the coastal path, which leads to the traditional Purbeck villages of Worth Matravers, Kingston and Kimmeridge with their stone cottages, traditional pubs selling local fare, while wildlife watchers should visit the nearby sandy beach at Studland.

Inside, this Grade II-listed cottage has been renovated, furnished and equipped with care and attention. The kitchen is small yet well-equipped with Gas oven and hob, microwave, washing machine fridge/freezer and everything you should need for rustling up delicious meals while away. Once prepared, enjoy meals in the separate dining room, which overlooks the garden through a bay window. At the end of a long day on foot or out on the water, unwind in the cosy lounge. With a roaring wood burner, comfortable sofa and armchair, TV/DVD/VCR and a stocked bookcase, you will have everything you need for a relaxing night in. This property offers three tastefully-presented bedrooms, two king-size and one single overlooking the mill pond. The bedrooms share a modern family bathroom with shower over the bath with WC.

To the front of the property is a small walled and gated garden for watching the ducks and moorhens on the pond. To the rear, there is a larger walled garden with a lawn for enjoying al fresco meals in the sunshine. There is off-road parking for one car on the lane adjacent to the garden.

A lovely cottage in a quiet situation. So handy for the delights of Swanage and its surrounds.

Great location, quiet but close to all you need. The cottage is good with everything you would need for a week away. We particularly enjoyed the garden as the weather was brilliant x

We can not recommend this cottage. The garden and the location of the cottage is very nice, but all in all the cottage itself was very dissappointing. The cottage is definitely not worth the money. There are too many things which need to be repaired or modernized.
