Spacious converted barn with exposed stone work, wood burner, pretty terrace and good access to a wealth of nearby attractions. The ideal spot for a romantic break in picturesque Dorset.

Set in a peaceful location within a working farm with characterful rooms and an abundance of charm. Nearby Stoke Abbott is surrounded by countryside, making it the ideal spot for walkers and nature lovers. An abundance of pretty towns and villages are accessible from here, including Beaminster and Bridport, offering cafes, boutique shops and restaurants. Heading south is the stunning Jurassic Coastline, perfect for all manner of outdoor pursuits, with much photographed locations such as West Bay and Lyme Regis being accessible by car. For relaxed days enjoy all that Dorset has to offer, with attractions such as the National Trust owned Tintinhull Garden and Montacute House estate, the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Dorchester all within easy reach.

A long driveway leads you to the semi-detached property, on entering you are met by a charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. Here you can enjoy romantic meals and plan the following day, before settling down with a film in front of the wood burner on chillier evenings. Heading out of this room you will find a spacious bedroom with king-size four poster bed, a pitched ceiling and a cosy sofa, this room is the perfect spot to lose yourself in a good book, it also has a contemporary en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and WC.

Heading outside you will find a pretty terrace with garden furniture and BBQ. Located directly outside of the kitchen/diner area, it’s the perfect spot for enjoying a meal outdoors on a warm summers evening. A few steps from the property is also a large, raised decked area with outdoor furniture. This is shared with the neighbouring cottage and has lovely views overlooking the owner’s field. Relax with a drink or dine al fresco while watching the resident lambs in the Spring. There is also a shared utility room in an adjacent block and one off-road parking space available within the nearby farm yard.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The property is very comfortable, well equipped, peaceful, clean and welcoming. Jo and Dan are very welcoming, helpful and available without being intrusive. We have never seen such a clean and tidy farmyard. We will be happy to make a return visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lower Brimley Coombe Farm. Very quiet and peaceful for a busy working farm. The interior was idyll, with everything as you would hope for. We very much enjoyed our stay. The picture though is a little misleading as it does not show the outside shed that was a few feet from our bedroom and about two feet from our bathroRead moreom window. The cottage is like a show home with top quality fixtures and fittings, the only disadvantage is the access which is via a half mile single lane sloping concrete road which is a problem if you meet someone coming the other way.

The cottage was perfect.The only down side you had to drive to get any where. Plenty of good dog walks from the cottage.Lovely cliff and beach walks but all 30 mins.away.

The cottage offered plenty of space, with a fully equipped kitchen. We arrived to a little basket of Easter eggs, and on a cake stand home made cakes and biscuits. We were greeted by Jo who made us feel immediately welcome and provided us with lots of books and materials with local walks in for both us and the dog. Absolutely delightful cottage, in quiet rural location yet accessible for great country walks. Cottage well equipped even down to black mat for the walking boots. The cottage was warm and so we didn't light the wood burner. Will definitely revisit to do more exploring

The lodge was absolutely beautiful! Very luxurious, it looks great in the photos but they don't do it justice as it's even better in real life ! Jo, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming whilst sensitive about leaving us alone to enjoy our holiday. The barn conversion had been done thoughtfully and to a very high standard - everything was immaculate. We had a peaceful and enjoyable 4 day break with plenty to do in the surrounding area.

A beautiful cottage on a working farm. Hearing the sheep and cows was lovely. The owners were wonderful and thoughtful in ensuring we were happy, providing milk, butter, chocolate brownies (I'm going back just for these!). They also sell their own produce (meat, apple juice etc.). Lamb chops wonderful! We have already booked to return.

Immaculately finished holiday cottage to a very high standard. The cottages are in an ideal central location for holidaying in Dorset and for visiting the whole of the Jurassic Coast.
