Situated in the narrow, stone streets of old Swanage, with only a short walk taking you down to the sandy beach, this fisherman’s cottage makes an excellent family base.

This Grade II listed, former fisherman’s cottage enjoys all the amenities Swanage has to offer right on its doorstep. It’s within walking distance of the attractive Victorian pier, a lovely sandy beach, and small shops, bars and restaurants. It’s not far to the Steam Railway, which links the town with the historic village of Corfe Castle. Further afield, you can explore Wareham, Poole and Bournemouth.

Step into the stone cottage and feel immediately at home. Curl up on one of the comfortable sofas and relax in front of the open fire. There’s a TV/DVD for your entertainment - perfect for rainy days or a quiet evening in. The kitchen has everything you could need during your stay, including a gas hob, electric cooker, integrated microwave, fridge and dishwasher, while you’ll find a washing machine and freezer in the utility room. Enjoy dinner as a family or group in the open-plan dining room. On the ground floor is a shower room with walk-in shower and WC. Head upstairs to the first floor and you’ll find a delightful double bedroom and charming twin, as well as another shower room with walk-in shower and WC. A second flight of stairs leads to a king-size double bedroom, which boasts beautiful views across the sea to the Isle of Wight. A folding bed or travel cot can be added to this room if required.

Outside is a walled and gated courtyard with garden furniture, making it an ideal spot for al fresco dinning or morning coffee. Within the courtyard is a raised area with parking space for one car. Children must be closely supervised in the courtyard as there is an unfenced drop between the parking area and garden.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in Swanage. This particular holiday property outshines any other that we have stayed in. It was clean, decorated lovely and was in a superb location. We would love to return again sometime next year. Thank you to the owners of this property for allowing our family to stay in their lovely cottage.

Such a cute cottage, really well furnished and very cosy. Very welcoming interiors. Lovely to be able to have so many restaurants within walking distance

Lovely location and cottage feel but kitchen very small for property size. Decor very modern and fresh and parking space a great benefit (even though very tight). Close to town and seafront but noisy on a few evenings as carnival week celebrations.

Wow what a location and what a beautifully restored cottage - gorgeously decorated, everything we needed provided and so central it was the perfect place for our family (with 3 yr old) to holiday in. Kitchen bits, kids equipment, games, fire logs, parking, everything we needed. Can't wait to return.

Comfortable welcoming cottage in very convenient location near beach and shops. We stayed in December and the cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We appreciated everything was left for us to light the fire and relax. Highly recommended.

Fabulous cottage. Really appreciated that the owners thought about what it feels like to be in a rental cottage so little things like tea towels and washing liquid and hand wash were provided. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely decor and a real home from home. Kids loved being so near beach
