With views across the pond and gardens where ducks roam freely in the cider orchard. Tastefully restored with many original features yet combining a contemporary interior. A perfect base to explore all that Dorset has to offer. The village offers a pub, church and village store offering fresh local produce and an award winning café. Further afield there are countless picturesque villages, Shaftesbury, Gillingham and Salisbury. A haven for keen walkers and cyclists. Other attractions include National Trust properties and historic gardens, arts, food and literary festivals. Historic Sherborne is just a short drive.

The stylish accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: THREE bedrooms: 1 king-size with over bath shower and WC in adjacent bathroom, 1 king-size with en- suite shower room and WC, (one of these rooms could be made into a twin on specific request) and 1 twin with en-suite shower room and WC. Separate WC. Separate WC. Lounge/ kitchen/diner: open plan with wooden floors and exposed beams, woodburner (first basket of logs included, more available to purchase on-site), TV/DVD. Kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher. Utility room: with washing machine and fridge/freezer. Outside: to the front of the barn is an enclosed traditional stone walled courtyard with lawn, garden furniture and BBQ. Raised beds with an open aspect onto the adjacent and exclusive large private flower meadow area for exclusive use. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and Wi-Fi included. Solar panels. Regret no smoking. Regret no pets.

Additional info: All bedrooms have TV's. Twin friendly (2 highchairs and 2 cots available). Care must be taken around the pond with young children. Low exposed beams (approx. 6ft). Sainsbury's and Waitrose will deliver. The owners can, on request, arrange for a hot meal to be waiting for you on arrival; menu and prices on request. Free range eggs available to purchase on-site. Circular walking route approx. 5 miles from the property along the neighbouring bridal path. Location: beach at Weymouth 26 miles, shop and pub all within 1 mile. Arrival: 4pm.

Great place, very well put together. Really nice living spaces, and very friendly hosta. Lots of great spots nearby to tour around to. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The Cow stalls was a truly wonderful place to stay. We were made to feel really welcome and the accommodation was beautiful. The hosts have really thought of everything. There are so many places to visit within a short drive of the cottage and we would certainly consider staying again.

Wonderful farm, ducks chickens and sheep. Cow Stalls is an excellent cottage, the owners make you feel really welcome, with fresh farm eggs waiting. Not too far from Sherbourne or Dorchester. Within easy reach of Poole and Weymouth.

The Cow Stalls is everything you could wish for, if you're looking for peace and tranquility then you've found it. Beautifully furnished thoughout, a well maintained garden and thoughtful owners. The fresh cut flowers and newly laid eggs from their hens were a delightful touch. Well positioned for exploring north Dorset and the Somerset borders.

The Cow Stalls was a very comfortable base for our holiday, with everything just as described on the website. Anthony and Gillian were so helpful discussing options for day trips and during the week we travelled to Stourhead, the Jurassic Coast and lots of places in between. Highly recommended!

The cottage was excellent very well maintain and clean and comfortable, it was filled with fresh flowers from the owners garden and was very welcoming. The owners were kind and friendly and made us feel very welcome. A definite home from home and we'll definitely return. The location was peaceful and rural.

A beautiful cottage in the most perfect setting! We had 3 generations on our stay and it was ideal for all. Lovely and clean, great hospitality and lots of space for my children to run and play on the grass or have a push on the rope swing by the little river. Lovely spacious cottage that easily accommodates everyone's needs. The surrounding area is beautiful countryside that delights the eye. Our farm hosts were very helpful and offered suggestions on local amenities. Lots of things to see and do in Dorset so one holiday is not enough time. We would be very happy to return for more days!

This was our second stay at the property and we will probably go again. With everything on one level it's very easy for those with mobility problems. It's spacious and very well equipped. The setting is idyllic with sheep and chickens just outside your front door and the area is very scenic. The property was practically perfect. Nicely finished, comfortable, and quiet. The owners were attentive but not intrusive. The area has many interesting and lovely day trips at the cost of a short drive. Really it is hard to fault it!
