With a shop and pub it’s the ideal spot for relaxing after a day spent exploring this picturesque area. There is something for everyone in the nearby towns of Gillingham, Shaftesbury and Wincanton. With Shaftesbury being home to the famous Gold Hill and breathtaking views over the Blackmore Vale. Slightly further afield are Longleat house and safari park, Haynes motor museum, the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Bath, Sherborne Castle and Abbey and the Kennet and Avon canal.

Lounge/kitchen/diner: with woodburner (first basket of logs included, more logs can be purchased on-site), Smart TV with Netflix. This little cottage was a perfect home from home for us. Tastefully and comfortably furnished, everything we could have needed, and much that was unexpected, was provided. Exploration of the village itself was rewarding - The White Lion does good food in a welcoming atmosphere , history lovers should check out Mill Lane, its not what you might thinkRead more! Hide

Perfect little home from home. REALLY impressed at the cleanliness, kitchen equipment, attention to detail and finish of the property. Perfect for what we wanted for a week. Owners live next door if required. Would definitely recommend to stay.
